Niente poca serietà mi hanno prima prenotato e poi hanno detto che non c era la stanza da vergognarsi
Niente squallidi come professionalita
The atmosphere was everything the staff was very helpful
The fact that they didn’t have a restaurant beside that that’s all
Absolutely perfect location. Right in the heart of Old San Juan, easily walkable to major attractions. I thought the hotel was very authentic and had great views from both the room and the rooftop patios. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and I thought it was a good value for the location and the atmosphere.
I have been traveling to Puerto Rico my entire life and without saying my age, it has been a long time.
I have stayed in hotels all over the island, some high end and some paradors too. My husband and I decided to stay in Old San Juan this time. We chose the CasaBlanca Hotel for the location. We had seen it many times and it looked ok from the outside.
Prior to our travels we had to fly in a day early and when I called to try to add a night to our trip, I was told there were no rooms available. I told the man I spoke to that we understood that the room we had chosen may not be available and we would be ok staying in any room, but I was told no, no rooms were available. I went online and sure enough a Queen Deluxe room was available, so I booked it. We would then be moving to a Superior Suite for the duration of our trip.
The Queen Deluxe was small but had a balcony and so we were fine. When we switched rooms the next day, the staff, particularly Arianna was able to get us into our new room earlier in the day, to which we were very appreciative. Arianna was the only person at the front desk that was of assistance. The rest of the staff were pleasant enough, but not overly helpful. I had left a skirt in the first room, I reported it the same day, it was never located and although I inquired for the duration of our trip, it was never followed up on otherwise. I know it was my fault, but reporting it the same day, I would think it surely would show up.
The Superior Suite was 2 rooms and not very big, Not what I expected, but it was quiet and somewhat clean. The elevator is extremely slow and you definitely can only have 4 people on the elevator or it will not go up or down.
The location is definitely the main draw of this hotel, I think it is ok. The staff really should be more friendly as they are representing to people who are not from Puerto Rico, who the people of Puerto Rico are. Besides Arianna, that wonderful kind Puerto Rican person I knew all of my life, did not exist there. I would give the hotel 2.5 stars, We would consider staying again, but it might not be a top choice.
I am a travel advisor who reads tons of reviews and takes notes on prior clients' stays to make sure I'm selecting the best accommodations. I got duped by booking at the Casablanca Hotel in Old Town, San Juan. I paid $287 for a one night stay that I booked last April for a one night stay before our cruise. All I can say is close family and friends must have written the reviews I read. I had booked a deluxe room and ended up with a double bed with a cot next to it. There were only two of us so a cot wasn't necessary but we used it to set our luggage on because there was no other place to put it. I will say the staff was polite during this disastrous experience but did look at me funny when I requested an ocean view room at check in. For the first time in my life, my hotel room didn't have a window. I unlatched and opened a little wooden hatch and our hallway was on the other side of the hole in the wall with no glass. The safe didn't work until the front desk clerk came in and replaced the batteries. I asked where their bar was and they said the front desk was the bar but they only had beer. We took the stairs a few times because the elevator was so slow. To leave the light on in the bathroom for light, we had to listen to the loud fan all night. To make things worse, we called Uber the next morning and waited and waited and realized our street was closed. You would think someone at the front desk would tell their guests. We all had to walk about 1/2 mile to meet our drivers. They goodness our driver called us and directed us on where to go.
The Casa Blanca Hotel San Juan, was excellent. Great location and great value for the money. It’s central locate in walking distances to many tourist sites. The customer service was better than many of the major band hotels. Our front desk attendant Gabriel was friendly, knowledgeable and gave us plenty of ideas and options to make our stay great. I recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy Old San Juan at an affordable price.
The location is great if you’re planing to get to know old San Juan. Walking distance to all major places in the neighborhood, restaurants, shops and bars… and touristic places.
Putting aside the location, I would rate this hotel a 5. The location would be the only selling point for me but other than that, services want very good, rooms where pretty old and lack maintenance. The old part is not an issue, but let me tell you, how forgotten the walls, and bathroom looked from a cleaning stand point. Bathrooms was leaking from different places and main desk did nothing. Aldo security box not working, no natural ventilation or lightning in my room. I COULD HEAR THE NEIGHBORS SNORING…. Which made my sleep almost impossible as I have a very light sleep. Common area was also dirty, and tables stayed filled with food grease from other guests for days. I don’t care that is old as long as it’s well mantained… but this place lacked identity, just old in general and constantly malfunctioning. I would only stay here if I needed the location and wouldn’t want to spend much time in my room or hotel… I wouldn’t stay here unless I had no other option and comfort is important. Also the internet sucks… like big time.

Loved this funky place. Staff were excellent and the location couldn’t be beat. Refrigerator and ice are also nice and the roof deck was a treat.
