The resort building reminded me of the Yellowstone Nat’l Park Lodge with its heavy wood throughout. A great experience having the resort mostly to ourselves as a base to visit in Loei Province. The staff were attentive to any request.
Only meant as an observation but not a criticism. The resort like many others is underutilized for much of the time. We had the resort to ourselves with the exception of two ther families or couples during our three night stay. Water pressure could stand to be increased. The pool was needing service before it would be useable but as it is the “cool season” this was not an issue for us.
The rustic style was nice
Zero service, untrained staff, poor location.
It didn’t look like anything on the photos.
views were exceptional, bed was comfortable
shower in room too low
swimming pool out of use
untidy Hotel
Our third visit there - far from beeing perfect but always very nice to be there!
To be honest: just nothing - its just the way this wooden resort is.
The location is nice if you are looking to get away but not for anything else how ever. The air is clear and you get a great Mountain View but the negatives far outweigh the positives.
Normally we do not like to complain but in this case, oh where do I begin…
The rooms are massively overpriced, I bet they where great in the 90s but seemingly they have not kept up with developments. The room smells of old dust and one of the beds had so much dust in them one of us got rashes.
The toilet was out of order in one of the rooms and we got to switch to another room after checking in already. The water heater in the shower lived a life of its own and only gave you hot water at times.
The colorful animals you see in the pictures are gone and all they got is some fish and skinny chickens in a dirty cage.
The fitness room are so dirty it’s clear they abandoned it. Rust cover everything and the pool outside looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks.
We asked for a refund and to move out in the first hour but and was at first met by a sorry staff that said it would be ok just we contact booking.com first. But upon doing so booking informed us the resort offered us a free meal instead of the refund.
Hours later after several calls and waiting on hold booking.com finally got hold of the owner and we were allowed to refund the second night and move out the next day.
Thank you booking.com
Beautiful location, and helpful staff.
Room was massively overpriced for the area, even if it was a suite. Huge stains on the carpet, and a general musty smell. Additionally, as we were the only ones staying at the hotel that night, the restaurant was originally not open, but the staff did organize food for us.
Good location and friendly staff.
The fitness room and swimming pool are not connected to the hotel and we thought the pool looked dirty and had not been filtered and cleaned on a regular basis.
Good catering for vegetarian options in the restaurant, pity that you put meaty chunks in the vegetable stir fry and the egg fried rice. Perhaps a label in English would have helped on the serving table.
The resort covers a really huge area. It is integrated into a wonderful hilly landscape with a corresponding panorama. The main building is made of teak and offers generously sized rooms. A small romantic lake, as well as a pool and fitness center are part of this complex. The staff is friendly and helpful
It seems that the complex has suffered from the effects of Covid 19.Only the main building is in operation, there are many other residential complexes, as well as a seminar center, which are no longer usable and would have to be renovated. The internet system urgently needs to be adapted to today's standard. i.e. better networking and multi-access routers. The breakfast buffet is a marginally standard mix of Asian and Western offerings. The coffee offering is hardly acceptable for a resort in this price range. Freshly brewed coffee would be nice. Nowadays there are great machines for the catering industry that can produce great coffee variations. The buffet itself can only be reached via high stairs, which is a problem for older people if they have to self-cater at the breakfast buffet
The staff are very friendly and the gym is very handy
