Not Much
The aircon was poor, the resturant food was below standard
Superior rooms were very comfortable and had good facilities
Pool and spa area were a bit grubby, pool was very cloudy and there was a pool of water across most of the woman’s changing area in the afternoon which came above the plastic matting
Excellent location near the lakeside area and Drayton Manor. Great garden, pub, and
Food at the pub could be better, reception at the SPA was disorganized
Great location and clean. Not too badly priced either.
Pool was over crowded. Electric charge point took ages. You could pay £10 for an hour or £30 for as long as needed. I did the £30 option. Needed something from car and checked charge after an hour of it getting charged and it had gone up 4%. That’s a very slow charge and glad I didn’t £30 option.
Booked for the restaurant and didn’t bother going after hearing people waiting an hour for food.
Went to the highly recommended curry place behind the hotel. Food was expensive and very bland.
we were upgraded to a suite which was very nice and comfortable
small issues for which we were offered a change of accommodation which we refused
Staff were brilliant and reactive to your requests…nice calm setting outside and inside, breakfast was nice, bar drinks nice. The suite we had was nice but could benefit with an update
Would have scored much higher but the spa was a little run down…nothing a handy man couldn’t fix..like doors painting and some broken tiles fixing…No aircon in the Kensington suite.
Nice
Only one small bottle of water for 2 guests and one packet of biscuits.
Areas in Garden could be tidier a load of dead weeds hanging off side of building in the garden
Breakfast was good
Booked this hotel as it states they show live sports but they couldn’t show it on our stay, ordered dinner in the restaurant, steak was cooked well done when asked for medium and my boys dinner came out wrong also.
Breakfast was lovely, spa facilities were lovely, room was nice and comfortable. Plenty of parking available.
We did have to wait in the bar for a while for someone to serve us.
Could provide a toilet brush in the bathroom.
The booking process was seamless and straightforward, and we appreciated the courtesy call before check-in regarding our dinner arrangements. The reception staff — particularly all the ladies at the front desk — were fantastic, attentive, and genuinely made us feel cared for throughout our stay.
Our first impression of the hotel was unfortunately affected by the large football team staying there on the first and second day. The atmosphere felt overcrowded and somewhat intimidating at times, which took away from the relaxing spa experience we had expected.
There were also a few issues with our room on arrival. The complimentary bottle of Prosecco had been left sitting in melted ice water, and the air conditioning unit was rattling loudly. The air conditioning issue was resolved after we were moved to another room on the second day. Unfortunately, although the unit in the new room was much quieter, it did not cool the room particularly well. We appreciated the gesture of being moved and did not want to be difficult guests by requesting a second room change.
In addition, we found the spa staff somewhat unhelpful and not especially welcoming, which ultimately discouraged us from booking a treatment as originally planned. That said, to be fair, other guests we spoke to reported having a fantastic experience with the spa facilities themselves.
The whole experience was lovely from start to finish. The food is like any normal pub food. Very nice room.
Plumbing needs sorting as water from the shower and the bathroom sink takes a while to go down.
