We were delayed starting a safari trip by a full day. When the company picked us up from the airport (Thompson Safari) we were taken to this hotel and not given any options or advance warning. We started our trip the next day. The room fee was $350 and when we checked later that is nearly twice what the room normally is. We asked about a corporate rate (NO), we asked about the room - standard garden room. Nothing. We felt like we were fleeced. I have filed a complaint with Hilton and have yet to hear a reply (a month later). If I had been able to do my homework it may have been different but maybe not.
LOCAL (VERY SAFE) DRIVER RECOMMENDATION ASSOCIATED WITH FOUR POINTS ARUSHA: I’m a business executive who was recently in Arusha to climb Kilimanjaro. The Four Points was very accommodating and the staff were superb and service-oriented. In particular, when my flights were cancelled due to a strike at Nairobi’s airport, an amazing local taxi driver associated with the Sheraton Four Points, named Martin helped me. He went above and beyond, racing me to the airport, calling a friend to make me a new domestic flight booking for me, wiring money so that I could fly, and even booking me a hotel in Dar Es Salaam so I’d have lodging while making a connection. Martin was incredibly trustworthy and kind – and he was patient when my American type-A self was freaking out over cancelled flights. If you are staying in Arusha and at the Four Points, I recommend him highly. He could be helpful for airport transfers and local trips. To contact, his number is Martin +255 758 865 288
This was part of our luxury package but I wouldn't rate it as luxury. We stayed two separate nights and stayed in two different rooms. The first room smelled like sewer and the second room smelled like mildew. I don't think my sheets were clean because I found hair and stains. The second room was more dated than the guest. They had a good food selection but not the greatest tasting. I'm not sure if this is the standard for Arusha so I give it 3 stars. Customer service was great though. The main areas were nice and clean.
The Four Points Sheraton was fantastic. Amazing, attentive and friendly staff. Clean and all necessary amenities. Rooms were lovely. Highly recommended.
Must see - the Ngorongoro Conservation area is spectacular! Definitely do a safari.
Located in the center of Arusha, this hotel is very similar to a typical US Sheraton hotel with some added features such as a pretty garden area. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Food is generally pretty good. Service is good. No complaints except parts of the hotel could use a spruce up. The best part of the hotel is the garden area. I enjoyed sitting out there with my fellow travelers and having drinks/food.
Amazing experience and great breakfast! The room was very clean with a great view and comfortable bed.
The breakfast dishes that were contained in the "warm" dishes were cold on all mornings. The only hot meal in the morning was the omelet and the coffee is served myself.
The one evening meal i did have there took 1 hr and that was reminding the waiters 3 times. Eventually the supervisor came our and served me and advised me that my meal, a club sandwich was FOC.
Luci fredde in camera
The Breakfast selection was okay and possibly just not my taste and felt a little limited
I thonk they can extend the menu selection and the upgrade the food alittle
Pleasant hotel with decent buffet breakfast and dinner but not inspiring. Rooms on the smaller side but decently appointed. Staff friendly. My main gripe is that the room faced the road and it was incredibly noisy. Sleep quality therefore poor. The room above was noisy and they travelled so it wasn’t a peaceful hotel experience
Four Points Arusha was a clean and comfortable hotel, the manager at the restaurant Mr Hakkiadda was a very helpful host. The Restaurent itself has outside seating and the chef made us brilliant indian vegetarian food. Even the vegetarian lasagne was fabulous. Its a great idea to stopover and relax in Arusha for one night before we leave for safari to Serengeti the next day. We also visited Chemka Hot Springs in Arusha and had a great time.
Toilet didn't work in room
Only some power outlets worked
We artived here after more than 25 hours flying to arrive to Tanzania. We were exhausted and reach this hotel with extra comfortablebeds and clean rooms. Hot showers, super friendly staff and felicious food. Just what we needed before starting safaris. Really recommend this hotel. Restaurant was delicious, at dinner we tried african dishes and indian and everyone was delighted!
Breakfast buffet was superb!!
