It’s not fair that we had to pay for a horrible stay! I never saw anything like this when a hotel is under construction!
Pros:

The property was under construction and I wasn’t notified about that.

Cons:

It was under construction. When I entered the building there was plastic hanging sheeting right in the doorway. Then we had to check into a little room. Then breakfast was a fiasco!!!

It was conveniently located and near several places to eat.

Cons:

The hotel was completely under renovation. The main entrance was a boarded up hallway, which made it nearly impossible to find where to check in. The main entrance “check in” was located in a private room down the hall. On the day of arrival, they had blocked off one of their elevations for construction crew. This slowed traffic tremendously, especially as guests are trying to load carts of their suitcases, etc. Their complimentary breakfast was stuff into a small conference room, and was not necessarily fresh. It was frustrating because the renovation/construction was not properly communicated before hand.

A disappointment
Pros:

The new room was lovely but see issues below.

Cons:

The new room was lovely but had obviously not been checked before it had its first occupants, us. The bedside lights didn't work, the door deadbolt was faulty, the rear of the shower head wasn't sealed correctly and was squirting the ceiling. The fridge still had some packaging on it and the aircon unit. The sink plug didn't engage and seal.
We weren't told we were staying in a building site. The place was a mess and every lift we took we were sharing with construction workers and equipment moving from floor to floor.
Constant banging while they were working.
The horrific noise from I95 kept us awake why doesn't it have secondary glazing.
Breakfast was like being in a school canteen with rows of tables. Food was good though.
Sadly we were disappointed overall.
