Welcoming staff. Our dog was well catered for.
This was our 3rd visit to this lovely comfy Dartmoor hotel. It’s a long time since we were here and I’m delighted by the fact that not much has changed. The food in the restaurant was much more veggie friendly than I remember and we ate here both nights of the stay.
Walked across Dartmoor and stopped here for a night. Superb!!
Food was outstanding and service was excellent - special mention to Polly and Euan
Great stay at the two bridges oldy worldy place good food loved the roaming sheep and geese
Disappointed to have pre booked supper requesting a window table to be sat in the middle of the restaurant.
The shower needs attention! The shower rose was so blocked you couldn’t use it, it was leaking from the arm joint, and the handheld was exactly that, you had to hold it as the riser rail was broken!
Luckily I have a soft spot for this hotel and the geese will always make you smile in the car park
A regular stay for us but once again very friendly and comfortable..loved it
Lovely place to stay on beautiful Dartmoor.
Can’t fault it, food was delicious, ambience cosy and welcoming
Lovely relaxing stay in January. Cold outside but warm and cosy inside (insulation needed around the old sash windows in bedroom though against the wind!) Very welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate our wishes. Our room was a good size and comfortable if a little tired looking. The hotel is in a beautiful spot with lots of good walking trails nearby. Would definitely stay here again
Wonderful room, very comfortable and fatalistic hotel, food was great, can’t wait to stay again
Very good service, but the property is tired.
No double glazing in my room and dining room. We were seated by a window for dinner, but asked to be moved, we were sitting in a very cold draft from window.
They advertise a special menu, this was the reason for choosing the hotel. Unfortunately the fact that their Signature Menu is not served on a Sunday was buried in the small print and not on the face of the 9n line menu.
Paid Expedia £170 for the room which I think is over priced given condition of the building. I note the hotel was only charging £145, so a nice commission of £25 for Expedia for booking my room.
A lovely comfortable hotel, friendly staff and great breakfast . Beautiful setting.
Perfectly ok only sorry that it was one night.
Fantastic staff member met me on my arrival at 11 pm and was super-helpful. He was fantastic.
Lovely character hotel in very attractive picturesque grounds and the very old stone bridge which gives it its name. Well located for getting around the moors of Dartmoor. Nicely appointed with well furnished bedrooms and character bar.
Dirty room. Food average at best. Food menu extremely limited. 8-10 minute wait for hot water in shower. Mattress literally collapsed when you later on it (and no, I’m not a fat, greedy person)! I have nothing positive to say about it other than to say the surrounding area is beautiful.
Absolutely loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and could immediately relax. Our room was stunning (Vivienne Leigh). The service was faultless and the food delicious. We will definitely return.
Another fabulous stay at two bridges. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. Quiet location with open fires perfect for winter stays.
This hotel is a delightful old property in the heart of Dartmoor. The staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel especially if you like hiking on the moors.
