The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The cleanliness is extremely poor, and there is nothing else positive to say. It is also very expensive and absolutely not worth the price.

The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The cleanliness is extremely poor, and there is really nothing else positive to say. The daily housekeeping is very careless and feels like they are just going through the motions. They don’t even remove the hair from the bathtub, let alone vacuum the carpet. There was even hair left on the bedding.

It seems to be a family-run business, and the standards don’t appear to be as strict or consistent as those of a chain hotel. I also got the impression that leftover breakfast food might be served to guests again the following day.

The hotel is also very expensive and absolutely not worth the price.

Pros:

Da wir die Unterkunft als Übernachtungsort während des Greenfields genutzt haben, waren wir nicht oft im Gebäude. Das Personal war aber immer enorm lieb und das Zimmer hatte alles, was wir brauchten - wir sind sehr zufrieden. :)

Central location in the heart of town with staff who are helpful and kind
Pros:

All the staff were helpful and kind. When I asked where I could rent hiking poles, the proprietor loaned me a pair for the duration of my stay. They also held my suitcase after checkout on my last day so I could squeeze in one last hike. Breakfast was limited but sufficient. Location on main street of town is close to almost everything. Street-facing room meant some crowd noise into the night (expected), but the windows were well-soundproofed and shut out 90% of the noise. My strategy: leave windows open throughout the evening to cool the room, then close them before climbing into bed. Alternately, spring for an Eiger-facing room.

Cons:

The shared bathroom generally worked except when I couldn't tell whether it was in use. Some guests apparently closed the door after they finished, so I once waited 15-20 minutes thinking someone was showering before gently knocking and finding it empty. Suggestion to management: place a sign asking guests to leave the door open after use.

모든 스탭 직원분들이 친절해요. 숙소는 깨끗하고 편안했어요. Grindelwald 역과 Coop 마트에서 멀지 않아서 편리했어요. 조식 맛있습니다. 숙소 창 밖으로 아이거 북벽이 매우 잘 보여서 전망도 아주 좋았어요. 최고의 여행이었습니다!!

Not fancy but excellent location and outstanding views from balcony room.
Pros:

Loved the small boutique hotel. We had a balcony facing The Eiger mountain. Million dollar views!! Loved it. Very comfy bed and very good continental breakfast. Staff were great and very helpful. Great location and easily walked with suitcases from train station.
