Very nice and renovated room with a fantastic terrace, excellent location, and a friendly host.
The room was very well maintained, comfortable in a quiet neighborhood with a fantastic view of the city below. The free breakfast included in the booking had an enormous variety and was delicious. Our host, Alex, was delightful and extremely helpful in mapping out our daily sightseeing options.
I wouldn't change anything. Our stay at La Reginella was a delight. The hike up to the hotel was well worth the view.
After a walk up to the hotel we were greeted by Alex and his two lovely dogs. It was a tiring walk for a 70 year old but well worth the effort. The room was on the ground floor and exceptional with a large terrace looking out on to the Bay of Naples. After a wonderful night's sleep, we woke up to a huge choice of foods for breakfasts - and I would particularly recommend the home made cakes of many and varied kinds. The view from the breakfast terrace, where you can choose to sit outside or in, is overwhelming and beautiful - must be an artist's dream. Alex, the owner is always on hand to assist and always contactable via WhatsApp if you have any query about nearby restaurants, porters for luggage etc.. (before you arrive he sends you detailed directions to the hotel and regarding luggage etc..) He seems to have thought about everything in the hotel - including night lights that come on when toilet visits become necessary in the dead of the night! The shower is a walk-in and is phenomenal..Just nothing to complain about.
As far as luggage is concerned I would highly recommend that you take the funicular railway to the main square (only 2.50 euros) or, if you're overburdened with bags, take a taxi (about 25 euros). Call or message Alex in advance of arriving if you want your cases taken up by the porters in their motorised trucks to the hotel (10 euros per bag) - or if you want them taking all the way from the port (20 euros per bag). You then follow his directions and take the 15 minute walk to the hotel..
All in all, an amazing experience and we shall be back!

The hotel is located in a quiet street - about a 10min walk outside the loud downtown plaza . The room was modern and clean and came with its own terrace. The bathroom is a bit dared. The continental breakfast buffet is superiorand the host very nice and helpful.

WE LOVED EVERYTHING.
1. Host communicated very well and was always in contact. Always replies in a timely manner.
2. For our family of 5, the room was snug but very very comfy. Beds were comfy and had plenty of space for all of us.
3. The outdoor space was gorgeous. Good spot for a cuppa with a view.
4. Room comes with mini kitchenette, a stove, fridge and kettle if u need it.
5. Bathroom had all essential toiletries and some extras.
6. 10bottles of water was provided which was awesome after the mini uphill walk we had to do to get here, which was worth all the struggle *porters avail for hire from the port.
7. The breakkie which was incl during our stay was just a lovely addition to a wonderful stay and comes with a view of the town.
8. Doggies and candies were a fun addition for the kiddos.
9. Near great restos, supermarket, bakery, cafe and bottle shop.
10. Kids rated it 10/10 with 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
There is nothing to dislike. We just wished we stayed longer in Capri rather than Positano. For our family Capri is a lot less crowded, more chilled and walkable.

Distance from town was a bummer in the heat but the price for that distance I what you get so I was happy with that.

We had a wonderful stay at La Reginella! Alex was a fantastic host. The beautiful terrace with its stunning sea view was definitely a highlight, and the breakfast was amazing — fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day.
