The hotel is amazing! The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. The rooms offer daily housekeeping and free bottle of water and chocolate. Central location with a short walk to Interlaken West. Breakfast is amazing with many options.
We visited the hotel restaurant on 2 consecutive nights- great food but what made the night was the service. Our waiter( sorry didn't get your name) was great, nothing was too much trouble and he made the night on both occasions. Highly recommended
Great location to Interlaken West station- 2-minute walk. The hotel has a rustic charm, but with that, there are things that you must be willing to endure. If you are a light sleeper, the thin walls may keep you awake. We had room 203- It had a great view of the street below and we enjoyed watching the traffic, the horse carriages, and the paragliders.
But, room 203 has a terrible creaking floor! It can wake you up at night and I am sure the room below hates it as well.
The AC in the room does nothing.
As I write this review, we are in another hotel in Zurich. And the same shower/tub design is the same as the Krebs Hotel! You have to step up into the tub (almost three feet) and getting out is a safety nightmare. You have to exit the tub backwards as there is nothing to hold onto if you try getting out going forward.
We tried the restaurant once for lunch and the service from Doris and Anh was fantastic.
Do not order the Fish and Chips.
Coop market is right next to the hotel, so there are plenty of food options to save from the high cost of restaurant dining.
The hotel offers umbrellas for rainy days, are there is a private parking lot for 15 francs a night.
The housekeeping lady we dealt with a few times was a true delight. She always made sure we had what we needed.
Only a few minutes walk from Interlaken West Train .Great hotel, room had a balcony looking over to the snow covered hills.
Room was pleasant, with a comfortable bed, a coffee machine and a bar fridge.
Breakfast was good, with variety of foods. We ate on site one night and the food and service was lovely. We also had drinks at the on site bar. All staff were very lovely. There is a beautiful little resident cat who loves to lay around on the reception staff chairs. We will be back again in 2026.
One the most impressive and best hotel I’ve expericed ever!
Hotel was just a5 minute walk from Interlaken West train station, which made travel from Zurich very nice. The area is busy during the day, but at night was so quiet. The rooms were clean and well-stocked with teas and coffees along with nice bathroom amenities. Everyone on staff was very welcoming and helpful.
Nice place. Excellent front desk staff
The bed were awfully soft. The tub you needed a stool to get into and were very dangerous. The breakfast was OK to poor. The room was kept clean and the staff pleasant. Over all I would not stay there again.
A great hotel in the heart of Interlaken. Directly on a street with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The building is old, but well-kept, comfortable, and clean. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The patio is a great spot to have a beverage and people watch.
Close to shopping, good breakfast
The staff was friendly, the hotel was centralized and the room was spacious. The train and busses were within site of the front door so you will have convenient transportation within a minute.
We will definitely stay here again if we come back i to the area.
The property is a little tired, but clean. The staff was incredible and very accommodating. The restaurant and bar were very good. Close to the West Train station, so easy to get everywhere.
Amazing customer service and outstanding location. Free breakfast offered a wide variety and was an excellent perk. Will definitely stay here again if we return!
We stayed two nights at Hotel Krebs and enjoyed our stay very much! Marina at the front desk was delightful and was so welcoming and friendly! She helped us store our luggage prior to check-in and after checking out so we didn’t have to lug it around Interlaken while we explored the area. She also upgraded us for the second night which was so thoughtful of her! The breakfast was great and we ate in the hotel restaurant both nights. The food and service were excellent! We would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area in the future.
Amazing location and excellent service. Breakfast was serviceable. Room was great but shower was very small and very short.
We were able to check in early, and to our surprise, our rooms were upgraded to family suites, which was much appreciated given my wife’s mobility needs.
My wife stopped by the front desk to ask about the route route to Lauterbrunnen, Mürren, and the Schilthorn. A little later, there was a knock on our door — Judit from the front desk came by and walked us through a clear, step-by-step plan for the journey. It was thoughtful and took the guesswork out of the morning.
We lunched at Krebs and benefitted from the attentive and hard working staff Pami who served us at our table and Judit who assisted us at reception with information.
Their, professionalism and kindly manner was truly refreshing to see in young people and enhanced our visit to Interlaken. Thank you!
Generally an average European tourist stay. Staff were very friendly, although they miscalculated part of the bill tied to dining and did charge $10chf for a lost room key. Not an actual "key", mind you, a plastic key card like the rest of the world uses. I've never seen that before. That left a bad last impression.
The bar is very simple, restaurant okay with great service. While our room did have a thermostat, we weren't sure what it controlled. There was no obvious a/c but the sleeping weather with the windows open was nice. But it gets VERY loud very late into the night from the PATIO area below; something the hotel could control. That said, Interlaken draws from all parts of the world and this hotel was indeed a melting pot (no pun intended). So be mindful that other guests etiquette may not be the same as yours.
Friendly staff. Nice restaurant. Great location.
