Decent
Pros:

The hotel has a classic style, but it is clean and practical. The location is excellent, with a gondola passing right by. Breakfast is good, and the spa is decent. The pool is very large.

Cons:

The furniture is outdated and could use an upgrade.

Stuck in 2008 – not worthy of 4 stars
Pros:

The location is nice and very convenient, especially for accessing the slopes and the center of Borovets. I also appreciated that they allowed me to check in earlier since the room was already available. Overall, these were the only aspects that stood out positively during the stay.

Cons:

Extremely disappointed. The last time I stayed here was in 2008, and now in 2026 it feels like absolutely nothing has changed—no renovation, barely any visible maintenance.

The overall condition was poor. The room was dirty, with noticeable stains on the bathroom curtains, cuts on the bed sheets, and even basic amenities were lacking (only a quarter roll of toilet paper provided). For a hotel that claims 4 stars, this level of hygiene and upkeep is simply unacceptable.

Breakfast was mediocre at best—limited choice and low quality, not what you would expect from a hotel in this category.

The most frustrating part was the parking situation. They charged me for parking, explaining that there are two parking areas—one for hotel guests and another in front of the hotel for external visitors. This was not communicated anywhere during booking or check-in, which felt misleading.

Overall, this hotel seems to rely entirely on its past reputation rather than current standards. Unfortunately, it does not deliver on the expectations of a 4-star stay today.

Disappointing
Pros:

The location is perfect. Close to the slopes and close to the shuttle bus stop.
Free carpark.

Cons:

First - staff attitude - reception - border line - rude.
Second - facilities - we were asked to pay 4 euros for a pair of skis to be left in a locker!? So you don't pay a fee for a locker, but what you store in there - 4 pairs of skis -16 euro per day!?
Third - so called spa was just a swimming pool, no jacuzzi, no steam bath, no sauna. Not to mention that they gave me just a small towel - no bath robe, no slippers/which are supposed to be available in a four star hotel.
Fourth - food- honestly in much cheaper places, we had better food. In a four star hotel, you should not serve food, which had been premade or previously frozen or from a frozen products, which are available in every supermarket. Not a big choice either every night and every morning - pretty the same with slight variations. Coffee - just instant coffee!? No fresh juice available, just some beverage from a soluble powdered concentrate!?
Fifth - rooms had not been cleaned or beds done for the duration /7 nights/. Sheets had not been replaced on the fourth day as required in a four star hotel. Room cleaning consisted of replacement of dirty towels /thanks/ and new roll of toilet paper.
Sixth - no wi-fi in the room!?
Overall the stay was highly disappointing. Probably won't stay there again.

Въпреки изброените слаби страни, все още цена-качество си струва и ако мога, пак ще бъда гост.
Pros:

Местоположението е ТОП. Предлагането и на хранене "вечеря". Тези двете са основните и страхотни преимущества.
Големината и мащаба на старите соц. постройки от високата класа за онова си време, все още впечетляват с удобството си и още си струват. Огромни, хубави пространства. Въпреки амортизираната база, нямам забележки за чистотата.

Cons:

Липса на удобни (а и изобщо) ел. контакти (вече си носим си разклонители).
Липса на сушилници в стаите (предвидливо си носим допълнително закачалки и приспособления).
Периодично парното се спира и става дискомфортно.
Асансьорите са вече доста амортизирани и не всички работят. Част от бутоните също не работят. Логиката на електрониката се съмнявам, че вече работи логично. Основните нерви от цялото пребиваване се случиха на площадките пред тях.
Храната е станала икономична от към разнообразие и вкус. Няма ги сутришните кроасани, заместени са с твърди банички. И други подобни.
Нужно е да се направи не много, за да стане пак любимо място. Ако всичко стане супер прекрасно, навярно вече няма да мога да си го позволя.

DIVERSIFICAT , se gaseau variante de mancare . Destul de gustoase !

Cons:

hotelul invechit, mocheta si mobilierul vechi, lifturile din 4 functionau 3 , nu aveau sistem de corelare si opreau la toate etajele. la restaurant din 4 aparate de cafea la un moment dat au lasat sa functioneze decat 1 iar cafeaua de proasta calitate fiind garnulata , nu din boabe.In camere destul de frig in primele 2 zile .

Perfect location, excellent value for money
Pros:

Location is great, very central. Rooms were warm and clean. Something for everyone at breakfast. Pool was the warmest I have experienced in Borovets! Spa was just want we needed after skiing.

Cons:

The lifts!!! A bit rickety but they did work.
