Perfect location, great value, lovely room, beautiful garden, good breakfast, excellent in all ways
Pros:

Room was very clean and very, very comfortable. The location is fantastic. The concept of a hotel that features works, images, art, and more on a famous author is great. It was fun to look at the collections. The breakfast is a good value. Water, coffee, and tea are all readily available. The staff is cheerful and helpful. It was a great experience.

Sfeer en ligging. Personeel sprak goed Engels en is supervriendelijk.

Cons:

Kamers klein maar wel heel hoog. Smaakvol ingericht, maar sommige dingen een beetje slordig. Lampjescheef, een gordijn haakje los. Geen zout en peper bij de roomservice.

The 4-star hotel doesn’t meet its standards and quality

The only real highlight of this hotel is its location — absolutely perfect, 10/10

Cons:

We booked this hotel based on its reviews and rating, but unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with both the service and the hotel overall. It definitely does not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel — it’s still unclear how it received that rating.

The evening receptionist seemed very inexperienced, as if it was her first day. She was checking us in while simultaneously talking to her manager or a friend on the phone, which felt very unprofessional.

We booked two superior rooms but ended up receiving only one superior room and one standard room instead. When we requested two separate beds, we were told that it was not possible at that time. We then asked for an extra blanket, and the receptionist first brought one without a cover. Five minutes later, she brought a sheet. When we asked her to make the bed, she said she didn’t know how because she was new. Not knowing how to put a duvet cover on a blanket was quite surprising.

There were also no slippers in the room, and the bathroom lacked basic amenities like cotton pads and ear swabs.

Breakfast deserves a separate mention — it was very disappointing, even though it was written everywhere - excellent breakfast. The vegetables seemed old, the cold cuts were tasteless, and the croissants were soft and unappealing instead of fresh and crispy. The only thing we enjoyed was the baguette. The coffee was also very poor.

Very comfortable stay in Nancy

The location is excellent, very well placed to explore the centre by foot, and with good transport to the station. The rooms are very comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and competent.

Beauty in the heart of Nancy
Pros:

Cozy hotel located in the heart of Nancy, few steps away from the main city attractions. Beautiful building, rich of details and Stendhal references.
The room was lovely, clean, with a very comfortable bed and views over the Cathedral's square.
Impeccable breakfast service, the buffet was full of delicious fresh local products.
Special mention to the 5-stars hotel staff, very charming, detail-oriented and attentive to every request.
I'll certainly comeback!
