Good and big in old area not recommend for old and week people ... far from transport... need power to walk to reach the street From the bottom of the slope to the top... superket near very nice man .. need to emprove the cleaning on the roof

The facilities are very limited and the staff response is very slow. However, when they support, they are very nice and kind. More attention shall be given to the cleanliness of the rooms and mainly the toilets.

It was very good value. The people were nice and courteous. If you are looking for value, this is a good place to be.

It’s an old hotel and not the cleanest we’ve stayed in. The AC leaked but did the job well enough and the water pressure was variable. Breakfast was simple but a nice bonus. The location is great and the cost is reasonable. Both the terrace upstairs and the back garden were nice additions. The people who work here are what made it worthwhile for us- super friendly, helpful and kind.

The property needs updating. All the staff are very helpful. Maybe a bit more choice at breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay.

The Sphendon is a charming, old hotel in Istanbul. It’s walking distance to everything you need when exploring. The free breakfast was a nice added touch. The staff were great and we enjoyed our stay. If you have mobility issues - this is not the place for you as there is no elevator. The rooms are small but you get what you pay for. We would stay here again.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff is very nice and helpful. When I got there I was tired and my room is not ready yet so they offered me the big family room for no extra charge. That was very nice. The location is very good it’s close to all the public places. I enjoyed staying here and will definitely come back. Thank you Hotel staff

Staff was very helpful , the most kind people at front desk , the overnight guy was outstanding in service . Even though it is not a high star hotel , it is very good in everything , clean, service, good breakfast , walking distance from everything , it couldn’t be better .

Great location within walking distance of historical sites. Small boutique hotel, very clean, with very helpful, friendly staff. I would stay there again. Hippodrome ancient wall at back of hotel off breakfast area was a real treat.

Otherwise rooms were ok but in need of a good clean and some diy.

AVOID!!!! dodgy hotel. We have booked it ages in advance, and they informed us no rooms were left. They gave us one night only and changed us to a 'private' apartment the next morning. They said we can only pay them cash, which we did and no receipts were given. In the apartment there was no hot water, so no shower for a day and no curtains and it was by the tramline. horrible. Again they asked us pay in cash, and no receipts. I wrote to hotels.com and they said hotel told them no guests were registered under that name, hotel was full and no one checked in last night. as I do not have receipts they did not believe me. Disgrace to Hotels.com and of course this hotel. I had a child on my hand, sleeping, as we arrived late, and the next day they caused us so much inconvenience. We did not want to ruin the holiday and make a fuss, but hot water, noisy apartment, dodgy money handling and also no curtains, just seem to be a cowboy place. Avoid if you can. I never write reviews usually, not my thing. But this time I want to warn anyone who might be choosing this hotel. It is full of crooks who is trying to make money illegally. I am not sure if the owner knows what is happening behind his back.

Every guest is treated like family . Location is excellent

We stayed at Sphendon Annex building called Seahouse. There is no elevator in this building which I was not aware of it.
The room we stayed was very small. Harding you can fit 2 suitcases. There was no safety deposit locker.
Breakfast was terrible. There was no omelette, only boiled eggs from previous day.

The main building is lovely and the staff are warm, welcoming, and very friendly. I would not recommend staying in the annex. This building does not match the ambiance and quality of the main hotel. The Annex building is in need of maintenance.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel .The hotel owners and all the staff members were really nice and friendly especially Ahmed and Saleh .They helped us a lot; always there to let you help and guide you about the city .The hotel is close to all the major tourist attractions which was great .The breakfast is good too .
