Disappointed that the green murky pool was allowed to be used and not addressed.

We were given a room which needed a lift to access, this was not anywhere in the description and I don’t use lifts. The room was one of the most expensive and although beautifully designed it had a kitchen and dining area ( again not mentioned in the room description) which were in a cave, damp and green mould on the ceilings. The room smelt damp even with all the windows open and the bedding had that cold damp feel. The worst part was that we booked the hotel as it had a pool. The pool was green and had algae on the steps ( you couldn’t see the bottom as the water was murky) I asked it it was tested, the staff member said yes but the day before it was too high with chlorine ( two people were swimming in it !) we checked out and went to another hotel with a clean pool ! The gentleman who checked us in was pleasant but the younger gentleman was not unpleasant but indifferent ! We were looking forward to our stay and at nearly £2000 for 5 nights it was a big disappointment.

Perfect chateau stay near Amboise
Pros:

Exceptional location for Amboise and the many chateaux and wineries.

Chateau des Arpentis is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms have been tastefully decorated and look out over lovely gardens, fields and a swimming pool accessed via old limestone cellars.

Laurent was helpful with advice about local attractions. Try Le Shaker in Amboise for cocktails at sunset.

Cons:

There's no EV charging onsite, but they're super fast chargers just nearby at LeClerc

Romantisch, ruhig und königlich
Pros:

Ein wunderschönes Schloss mit mystischem Garten. Sehr ruhig, dank keinem Restaurant.

Cons:

Das Zimmer Hector ist sehr grosszügig und man fühlt sich wirklich königlich untergebracht.
Das wenige Personal ist sehr diskret und zuvorkommend.
Wir haben das Pool ganz allein genossen und auf der Terrasse ein Champagner-Picknick gemacht. Es war traumhaft schön und romantisch.

Un vrai château , situé dans un grand parc, un étang ,des chevaux en liberté dans les prés.
Des chambres très spacieuses ultra confortables (excellente literie)
Une belle et grande piscine ,on se sent comme chez soi.
Mais un service très discret ,pas ostentatoire. Un grand salon très "british", en accès libre , avec billard, bibliothèque , coin lounge et bar. Comme la "pool house "de la piscine , ou chaque invité peut amener ses boissons.

un concept très anglo -saxon , assez unique et décoiffant, où le client doit se sentir comme chez lui. Hyper relax
Un lieu idéal pour se poser et visiter les châteaux de la Loire .

Real chateau experience- rooms decorated as 19th century suites, hallways like a hunting lodge from days gone by. Very atmospheric scene, modern , airconditioning superb, an inviting swimming pool & grounds to walk in. After midnight can see the stars!

Le cadre, les équipements, la chambre, la salle de bain, le petit déjeuner, le personnel sympathique et très aimable. Proche de tout et aussi en dehors de la ville. Le calme et facile d'accès.

Cons:

Améliorer juste un peu le parking, mais ce n'est pas de la faute du cadre. Tous les clients ne sont pas respectueux et prennent beaucoup de place si bien qu'il s'avère difficile de se garer.

Schönes Ambiente, Lage und die Nähe zu Amboise war super.

Cons:

Das Personal an der Rezeption war nicht sehr aufmerksam und nicht flexibel. Es war nicht möglich das Frühstück von außen nach innen zu verlegen. Das musste am Vortag bekannt gegeben werden.
Die Auswahl zum Frühstück war nicht gegeben. Es gab nur süßes. Um diesen Preis hätten wir uns mehr erwartet.
Das war sehr schade!
