Room not worth money, blind off window lying on floor, window didn't close properly so draft amd water coming in,pillows to hard
The room was large and nice. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We ate dinner there and it was one of the best meals on the trip. I would definitely stay there again!
If your looking for old school charm this is the place.
We had our wedding on the 27th March at the Sherbrooke and it was just perfect, and one of the big reasons was this venue and the staff. From the staff at the reception desk when we checked in the night before as we were staying in the venue on the Thursday, wish I could remember the guy's name as he was brilliant. The staff on the morning of our wedding on the Friday and getting everyone's breakfast sorted as there was a lot of us staying the night before and of course William, he made the full day run so smoothly, we had literally no issues on the day, everything ran to time because of his help. Loved the fact he took me and my wife up to our room, ordered us a couple of drinks and canapes before going into the evening meal so we could get 15 minutes to ourselves. Full day was perfect and couldn't have picked a better place to have our wedding!
Nice castle, clean and comfortable rooms
Price is way too big for this place. Breakfast was very narrow and small selection, also kitchen workint very slow comparing to the amount of people, just 3 tables occupied and they take 30-40minutes to get simple omlette.
the room was very large and well furnished, the bathroom was huge and freshly decorated.
the food in the restaurant was really nice however it was mother's day and the only option was a roast dinner in the restuarant on the evening

We celebrated an 80th birthday heer in February 2026. We could not have been happier with the beautiful setting, delicious afternoon tea (those sausage rolls!) and the extremely friendly, courteous and efficient service from all the staff at all stages of the event planning and on the day.
They really went above and beyond, Mum was really happy and everyone present agreed that it was a fantastic party. Special mention to the lovely young woman who took our aunt on a tour of the hotel when she found out that her wedding anniversary had been held there, 60 years previously.
This was a cool place to stay and the atmosphere was nice.
The rooms are definitely not child proof so if you are travelling with little ones I would not recommend. Also, the location is not super close to anything including restaurants, stores, etc.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel and it truly exceeded every expectation we had. From the very beginning, the team made the entire planning process feel smooth, organised and completely stress-free. The setting itself is stunning, creating such a romantic and elegant atmosphere that made our day feel incredibly special.
On the day, we were looked after by William, who was absolutely amazing. He made sure everything ran seamlessly and brought such a calm, professional presence that allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. The staff were attentive, professional and genuinely kind, making both us and our guests feel so well looked after.
The ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful, and so many of our guests commented on how lovely the venue was. We feel incredibly grateful to have celebrated such an important moment there and would wholeheartedly recommend Sherbrooke Castle Hotel to any couple looking for a magical and memorable wedding venue.

Food was good but over priced, insufficient choice.
I had an amazing stay on the 29th January 2026 HOWEVER as word of warning do not be fooled by thinking your car is safe in the car park . My car was badly damaged on the rear bumper with a fail to stop accident that occured whilst I was staying in the hotel. The CCTV is run by off site and does not cover the cars just the delivery wagons.
This has resulted in a repair costing over £2,000.
I am told they will review the angle of the camera , a little too late .

All facilites including the breakfast were exceptional! I have difficulty climbing stairs carrying a bag. Without being asked or prompted a member of the team stepped right in an offered his help :-)
