Beautiful well appointed room (deluxe double) that had been newly refurbished. Very thoughtful facilities in the room. Food at the restaurant was very tasty, perhaps a little on the expensive side. Staff were so friendly providing us with tips for walks in the area. Really nice breakfast freshly cooked to order.
If I'm being picky the pillows and mattress weren't quite to our taste but still quite comfy. Would have been good to have different pillow options.
I booked this for my elderly parents, brother a niece. It was ideal. They could eat in the restaurants, and it was peaceful, with lovely grounds and views, away from busy coast as it was half term. The rooms were lovely and freshly refurbished. The beds were comfortable. The service was friendly and polite, and any requests were met wherever possible. The food was generally very good, and elegantly presented. All but 1 courses were excellent ( four people expecting high standards, eating 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners). They would be very happy to go again.
The service at dinner was occasionally a bit slow. The steak in one meal was a little tough.

Nothing comes to mind
A beautiful hotel in gorgeous peaceful grounds and woodland. Wonderful staff, amazing decor, super-comfortable room, quality toiletries, lovely bar and great breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. We'll be back
A slice of paradise, full of peace and birdsong! Decor was stunning. Food wonderful. Staff absolutely charming.
The hotel is beautifully decorated and in a stunning scenic location. We stayed in the Llywelyn room which has the best views and a gorgeous bath tub. The staff were very attentive and recommended hikes and local restaurants. The food was great too! Would love to return one day.
Nothing!!
We had a truly wonderful stay at the Penmaenuchaf Hotel. The building itself is absolutely lovely, full of character and charm, and set within beautifully maintained gardens that make the whole place feel peaceful and special.
Inside, the interiors are simply stunning – every detail feels thoughtfully designed, creating a warm yet elegant atmosphere throughout. The food was exceptional, easily one of the highlights of our stay, with the evening à la carte meal beautifully presented and full of flavour.
What really made the experience stand out together with the food and decor was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel relaxed and well looked after from the moment we arrived.
Overall, a fantastic hotel that combines beautiful surroundings, outstanding food, and genuinely great hospitality. We would highly recommend it.
Nothing
Quality country house hotel offering first class and personal service from a very attentive staff.
Nothing
Comfy, country house hotel set in beautiful grounds. The log fires were lit on days that were approaching inclement, which is always very welcoming.
The room, had a lovely big bed, but was an average room for the money.
The hotel is in a magical setting, very peaceful with mountains, the estuary, beautiful countryside and stunning views on the doorstep. The building is full of period charm but with every modern convenience and we had every comfort in our charming room. Big bathroom with shower and tub, his and her sinks, very comfy bed with wonderful pillows. Staff were lovely, quietly attentive and ladies in reception gave us helpful tips for sightseeing locally. Evening meal was superb, everything prepared with great skill and care.
