Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Restaurant lively and good value.
Twin beds too close together. Lots of flies in the breakfast room and restaurant.
Friendly reception and breakfast staff. Large room with room cleaning everyday. Gluten- free and lactos free food options along with other services. Near train station grindelwald, city center and supermarket. Hotel has a restaurant with excellent food ( also gluten-free food) including gluten- free pizza, gluten-free spagatis and gluten- free fishes. Tourist travel card provided by staying hotel is useful for free mountain buses ( in combination with jungfrau travel pass), also free buses in gridelwild. Thank you fir the nice hotel that makes our holiday so pleasant !
There could be nice if there would be a water cooker in room.
The location was incredible. Right next to Grindelwald First. In town but not too close to the train station so it was quite peaceful even mid day with day trippers. The room was a good size, and it was ready ahead of check in time, which I really appreciated.
Because there is no AC and windows are open all around the property, the flies were insane. Especially at breakfast. Also, there was no outlet in the bathroom which made it difficult for hair styling.
Nice building and staff. Large room. No cigarette smoke at the hotel which is surprising since Switzerland is so primitive when it comes to that.
So many flies at breakfast. So much can be done about it, but I think the staff themselfes are too used to it. But this is absolutely a no-go. Poor beds, simple breakfast.
Conveniently located at a bus stop, good restaurant on site with many others nearby, decent sized room, basic breakfast buffet. The town has a huge street party every Wed in July. It was really fun.
The entire town is overrun with flies. Because there is no A/C anywhere, all doors and windows are left open so flies are in all of the bars and restaurants. It was in the high 70's and low 80's making our room like an oven.

Good location near Grindelwald First and Grindelwald Panorama Paths (village walking trails) which wind through alpine meadows, farms and chalets on the slopes above the village, offering continuous views of the Eiger.

Location was perfect, right on the main strip and next to the First Gondola. Quaint, clean, and an exceptional breakfast included. Views from the room and windows that opened wide were a big bonus.
Only improvement would be a small mini fridge in the room.

The location was great! The shower / bathroom was also nice. Our room had a patio that we spent a ton of time on and really enjoyed having!
Being above a restaurant was a little noisy at times but the noise never went late
The location. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the station and right under the First cable car, and they give you a transport card for the bus around Grindelwald.
The biggest problem is flies. In the breakfast area on the ground floor there aren’t just one or two, there are a lot of them, and it’s really unpleasant to eat there. On the second day I also found and killed a cockroach on the ceiling of our room.
Breakfast is almost the same every day. The only thing that changes is how the eggs are made (fried one day, scrambled the next). They also don’t refill it well, one morning we came about an hour after it opened and there was no milk, no juice, and no staff in the room to bring more.
In summer the room is always hot. There is a fan that helps a little, but the only blanket they give you is a thick winter duvet, which is strange for that heat. The pillows are old and so thin that you have to fold them two or three times to sleep on them.
