Handy B&B for the nearby station
Pros:

We met Sophia the cleaner on arrival and she was wonderfully helpful. Our timings never did coincide with the reception desk being staffed. The room was a good size with a nice view of the next door flats' garden. It was quiet even though the railway line was very near. The wifi was good although the TV lost its connection on the 2nd morning about 8am and we never did get the BBC news service to come back on.

Cons:

The breakfast situation was somewhat chaotic. We went down at 8.20am, the first day, but there were just laid out tables and no-one there. Clearly the pre-booked folk were late risers. We were attempting to make use of the offer on Booking.com to pay for breakfast once there. We were unable to book for B&B in advance but we did book our stay only at 5pm the day before. We ate near the station instead that day but arranged with staff, we bumped into outside, to eat breakfast there the next day. On return from our station breakfast we heard the other guests downstairs having their (later) breakfasts. Later we were sent a message saying breakfast the next day would no longer be available. Messaging back saying we had agreed to have breakfast with a helpful member of staff we were just sent a one liner saying it was not now available ("Unfortunately we are not able to provide breakfast tomorrow.") with no fuller explanation.
The hot water for the shower and basin was very erratic. We eventually worked out that moving the plus and minus twisting switch on the wall heater did encourage hot water to appear!

Eine saubere, preiswerte und nostalgische Unterkunft.
Pros:

Der Besitzer war freundlich und aufmerksam, die Sauberkeit der Zimmer war erstklassig.

Cons:

Die Matratze war sehr weich, bei meinem Gewicht schränkt das den Schlafkomfort etwas ein. Außerdem könnte die Zimmerausstattung ein Modernisierung vertragen.
