A wonderful boutique hotel in Edinburgh which is ideally located and which we enjoyed!
Pros:

This is a wonderful small hotel ideally located near the Castle and other attractions. Also near many restaurants and shops. Bus stops are close by. The hotel has 2 restaurants in the building and we had breakfast there each day which was included in our room rate. Excellent!

Cons:

Everything was fine.

Pros:

Great staff and location! Stayed next to the Joseph Lister home, of Listerene so that is cool. We were in the lower apartment so we had a beautiful courtyard to enjoy. The decor was fun, zebra top hats for lamp shades, the fixture in the living room is so 70's!

Cons:

The stairs down to the apartment were a little bit of a challenge for us older ladies but we managed. The staff took the bags down for us, which we really appreciated. The front room was a bit dark due to the window being under the walkway to the upstairs.

Läget är bra. Rummen var fina.

Cons:

Frukosten. Det tog väldigt lång tid att få en kopp kaffe. Allt skulle beställas. En dag tog det 30 minuter innan vi fick vårt kaffe. Efter det skulle frukosten beställas…
Wi-fi mycket dåligt.

Pros:

Die Lage ist sensationell! wir hatten die Juniorsuite. Sehr schönes Zimmer und sehr groß (auch das Bad riesig).. Frühstück war sehr gut und reichlich. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Cons:

Die Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen. Klimaanlage im Zimmer hat aber gut funktioniert. Lift geht nur bis in den 2. Stock, 3. Stock nur über Stufen erreichbar (hat uns aber nicht betroffen).

Nos encantó el apartamento. Grande, cómodo, limpio y excelente ubicación. Muy buen servicio por parte del personal, muy amables, educados y atentos, permitiéndonos dejar maletas en consigna tanto antes del check-in como después del check-out. Totalmente recomendable.

Un soggiorno confortevole in una location eccellente
Pros:

Avevamo prenotato un appartamento con due camere da letto, ma ci è stato assegnato un appartamento ancora più grande, dotato anche di un piccolo giardino privato.

L'appartamento era perfetto: arredato con gusto, molto pulito e fornito di numerosi asciugamani. La cucina era completa di tutto il necessario e non mancava davvero nulla.

La posizione è eccellente: in soli 10-15 minuti a piedi si raggiungono Dean Village, il Castello di Edimburgo e la stazione ferroviaria. Nelle vicinanze si trovano anche le fermate del tram e degli autobus.

Abbiamo apprezzato particolarmente la tranquillità del luogo, il silenzio e la privacy.

Non si tratta di aspetti negativi, ma di informazioni utili da conoscere prima del soggiorno.

La struttura ci aveva avvisati in anticipo che non è presente l'ascensore e, in effetti, per noi la gestione dei bagagli è stata un po' complicata. Salire e scendere le scale con valigie grandi può risultare piuttosto scomodo.

Un altro aspetto da tenere presente riguarda la colazione. Pur essendo eccellente, viene servita presso il pub-ristorante The Huxley, situato accanto all'hotel. Non è prevista la formula a buffet, ma un menù à la carte con un'ampia scelta di piatti, tutti quelli che abbiamo provato erano ottimi e preparati con ingredienti freschi. Abbiamo inoltre apprezzato la grande attenzione riservata alle esigenze alimentari dei clienti: nel nostro caso, intolleranze al glutine e al lattosio sono state gestite con molta cura.

Essendo però un locale aperto anche ai clienti esterni, soprattutto durante il fine settimana il servizio può essere piuttosto lento. Nel nostro caso abbiamo dovuto ricordare alcune portate e l'attesa tra l'ordine e il servizio è stata di circa un'ora e mezza.
