The uniqueness of the building, the polite and friendly staff.
Free off street parking. (Although tight for spaces when fully booked it seems).
The room was also very clean and tidy.
Breakfast was enjoyable, filling and plentiful.
No lift, and the stairs to the upper floor had a very heavy fire door to open from the stairwell which felt precarious when pushing it open from the top of the stairs with luggage. Almost felt like you could topple backwards.
The bath panel in our room (Tomahawk) could have done with repainting as it looked tired. Also the shower curtain was quite stained.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good room with good bathroom shower etc, Location was perfect and we really enjoyed staying there. Shall certainly stay there again if in that area.

On noisy main road. Decor and equipment bit tired. Loads of crockery but Need to replace kitchen equipment, make sure handles on pans are secure, more and larger pans, sharp knives. Bought a cafetière for them. You can sleep 6 but only comfortably cook for 3. Fine for us but if we had brought the kids we would have needed to shop.

Noise from road, steep stairs and hot room
The hotel was exceptionally clean and the full English breakfast each morning was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Situated off the high street with a range of shops, cafes and pub restaurants. The Fox and Hounds do a good rotisserie chicken meal with choice of sides for a reasonable price

Somewhere to hang towels in the bathroom, toiletries need to be accessible ! Just a recommendation !

The property was lovely functional not pretentious. Staff were so friendly helpful and genuinely interested in our well being.

Breakfast was good, they had a selection of a continental choice and a full English choice, both were available for breakfast. Nice decorated room, the room was also very large which isn't always the case we had no issue having space to move around with 4 people and luggage. Parking outside the hotel and attentive staff.
The only thing we had an issue was the temperature in the room. When we visited there was a heatwave on in the country so the room was extremely hot but this wasn't something cause by the hotel and the staff was very accommodating with getting us extra fans and making sure they were on in our room before we arrived. We were happy with everything else.
