City trip dans un hôtel très bien situé mais rapport qualité/prix à revoir

Wonderful hotel in a fantastic location
Pros:

The location is fantastic, being directly in the pedestrian zone around the Cathedral. Several tourist spots are in short walking distance, as well as Hop-On-Hop-Off busses and public transport. Breakfast was very good with many delicious options. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. The cherry on top is the pool on the roof, providing a wonderful relax area for an afternoon siesta.

Cons:

The ONLY "issue" is the difficulty taxi drivers have getting to the front door at certain times of the day - due to the number of pedestrians everywhere.

I loved Barcelona, and enjoyed the

The staff was wonderful. Alex, William were most helpful. The front desk staff and dining room staff were excellent. The room location was quiet and clean. I expected a room with a sofa but my room had a single chair- not 2 rooms as pictured. Our travel partners who booked the same type of room directly through the hotel had a room beside us, the type of room I expected, 2 rooms. one with a sofa. There are only 3 rooms with terraces on the 4th floor and the other was occupied. The staff moved a love seat from the lobby to our room so we could have a place to sit. What service!
The breakfast was delightful with fresh orange juice, and choice of coffee from a machine. The coffee was ground as each cup of coffee was brewed. Selections were plentiful.
The shower was great once you got it on and the water adjusted. Fine adjustment between hot and cold. Needed pressure to push the extension in for the rain shower.
I forgot to tell you about a free bottle of champagne on arrival, and a daily chocolate brought to the room!
Location was great. We walked to restaurants, Picasso Museum, Casa Batllo, Ingles, Cathedral, shopping.

Cons:

Room seating not as expected. Had to request the dirty glasses and coffee cups be removed from our room daily. Difficulty in adjusting the shower, and NO washcloths. The hotel does not have washcloths. The TV stations were mostly in Spanish with the exception of a couple of news channels. William tried to help me sign onto Netflix but unsuccessfully (could not pair with my phone). I understood that bottled water would be supplied daily but it was only on our first day.

A great hotel in the heart of old Barcelona for the price-point, service and location.
Pros:

Staff were superb - helpful, friendly, polite. From William's welcome to the bar staff's warmth. Cleaning staff always polite. Excellent location in the heart of the city. Bustling area, away from main roads, with all the gastronomy you could wish for. Room was spacious (larger room) and very comfortable with everything working. Mine was a work trip but I would seriously consider it for a pleasure trip with my wife and / or friends. Not really a family venue.

Cons:

WiFI was impossible to connect to but mobile signal was strong enough. Lifts are obsolete - slow, clunky and moderately annoying. Used the staircase all the time.
