Highly recommend for a comfortable stay, great location & breakfast. The Schloss is worth visiting!
Pros:

The comfortable beds, staff, breakfast, parking and the town of Meiningen. The breakfast buffet was equally as good, if not better than, some 5 star hotels we have used. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Fruits, squeezed juices, excellent variety of breads, smoked salmon (as well as meats) which was welcome to a pescatorian.

Cons:

Room 35 had an odour (smelly feet). The previous occupant had obviously not worn slippers! Could not open the windows due to the excess high temperatures in the area. Whilst a room spray had been used it did not mask the smell. However room 34 was "tip top".
