Hotel Aura

The hotel needs to be updated in the rooms. It has a nice design but everything needs to be taken out and reinstalled with new. The street it is on is overcrowded, loud, and dirty. It makes it hard to get comfortable. However, the staff was super nice and professional and provided exceptional services.

Two days before our scheduled reservation, I received an email indicating that my reservation for a king size bed was "modified" and that our room would have two queens. I called and told them that I made the reservation partly because of the king bed. The receptionist told me that it was an upgrade. I told her that it was not for me, and that there were plenty of other area hotels that will have a king bed. I cancelled. I then called Hotel 1550 and placed reservations both for the room I just cancelled and for the night we were scheduling for our next San Francisco layover.
I then called the Aura and cancelled the second night. The receptionist asked why and I told her. She asked if I would, instead, call the other hotel and cancel the other reservations. I said no. The hotel immediately sent me confirming emails for both cancellations.

The beds are terrible, not comfortable and not clean it was a horrible night
The smell is terrible specially from the sheets.
The AC sound doesn't let you sleep and it blows directly at you

Someone was throwing up next room it was like it was in my face
Someone Tried to open the door in the middle of the night but luckily the door has a manual iron lock. We booked for 3 nights as a Rookie mistake, we checked out early morning second day didn't refund the 2 nights and we didn't even care we just couldn't take this place anymore. the smell of the inside was so horrible that we didn't even dare to check the breakfast buffet. I was sick for 2 days after the night spent in here.

The property pictures did not match. Very unkept and dirty hotel. Leakage in walls. Linen was dirty. Towels were dirty. Hotel overall was stinking. Did not have a restaurant. Breakfast starts at 9am.

Don't stay here, rooms are dirty snd staff very unfriendly, location not tourist friendly at all, did not feel safe at all.
We left in fact before even staying the night , not sure how this on Expedia hotel list !

We booked their most expensive room, the Aura Suite with a Private Jacuzzi, even though it did not meet our expectations. Firstly, their advertisement is misleading across all platforms. Here are the details to inform you:

On Booking.com, they claim to offer a free airport shuttle, but they charge 1100 INR for each side. If you choose to book Ola/Uber, the cost is 600-700 INR.

The locality is very poor and unhygienic. There is no cleanliness in the vicinity of the hotel. It is situated on a cramped road, and ordering a taxi can take more than 20 minutes.

Before making the booking, I called them to discuss a late check-out (for two hours) due to my late flight. They assured me that a check-out at 2 PM would be fine without any additional cost. However, upon reaching the hotel, they denied the phone conversation and insisted on charging half a day's hotel cost for a late check-out.

The room was not clean. Dust and hair were visible under the blanket. The bed linen was also not clean. Immediately upon check-in, we had to request vacuum cleaning for the room.

There is no coffee machine in the room. Instead, there was a dirty kettle. The mini-bar was empty.

We had to contact the reception to have the TV turned on. The room service came and changed the cable box to enable us to watch TV.

There was no Hairdryer, Bathrobe, Bath Slippers, Complimentary Bottled Water, or Complimentary Breakfast (which they had advertised as included in the Aura Suite with Private Jacuzzi room).

Hot water was not available at all times, and the shower was broken. Water would come for a minute and then the knob had to be pulled again to continue.

Apologies for the disappointment, but there is no separate Jacuzzi. They have replaced the bathtub with the Jacuzzi, which was old and functioning solely as a bathtub, not a Jacuzzi. The small TV above the Jacuzzi was also not functional. So, essentially, the so-called Jacuzzi was just a bathtub in the bathroom, not a Jacuzzi in the room.

The internet connection was very slow.

We ordered food in our room, and they were initially charging more than the menu price. After my objection, they adjusted the price to match the menu. The food was both expensive and of poor quality. If you venture outside the hotel, there are many shops and dhabas where you can find better food.

The room did not resemble the advertised images on the internet. The sky lantern in the room was non-functional, and there were no night lamps as depicted in the photos.

Parking is at your own risk. There is no luggage storage room. If you wish to store your luggage, it will be placed in the passage.

There are no gym facilities, no massage services, no spa, and no steam or sauna bath available.

Furthermore, there is no rooftop bar and no restaurant within the premises.

Pathetic experience. I booked this hotel through expedia and made my full prepayment. When I reached there on my booked date, they said they have given my room to someone else and asked me to stay in the near by hotel. Upon my denial, they provided me a very bad room which was on the lower floor, not clean at all. Without any other option as I was with family. I would suggest don’t go by the picture of this hotel. These are cheaters 😭 Waste of money with very very bad experience.

I would rate 0 or -5 for this hotel worst hotel stay ever. They charge a bomb but the hotel is pathetic. It was a small room were the HVAC was connected with room and the washroom togather and obviously the bathing odar was spreading throughout the room and bathing kit was not working and I had informed the staff several te but no one turned back looking into this. Room service was pathetic and the front office manager was the worst person to be placed at the front desk. I would say it waste of money staying in this hotel it's not coustom friendly.

We went to the Aura bar three nights in the row. We had excellent service from Sanjeev and the other staff members. Prompt arrival of drinks, and everything was handled with great care. one night we had food, the hara masala fish was exquisite, so tender and flavourful. The cajun fries were great too. Overall amazing experienced which we will deffos reccomend to family and friends. Thanks so much to all the staff at the Aura bar :)

I am second time in Hotel aura. Maximum hotel were closed due to covid but Aura was open and it was good and clean as before . My room is upgraded free and low rate than before. I am glad with staff and come again.

Staffs and the Manager were amazing.Room service was excellent.room was marvellous and very hygienic.Addition to the comfort was the free pick-up service from the airport.On comparing the price segments of other hotels, this is a true value for money deal!!!!

A very nice looking hotel with a clean room and bathroom. The breakfast was good, nevertheless it would be better if there was more options to eat.
The only issue we had was our room’s door. When we leave and close it, anybody could open it while it was locked, but in the end Aura’s personnel managed to solve the problem.
Finally we met a good traveling agent who offered us a good looking travel schedule.
I recomend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Aura on our first night in India. We arranged to be picked up from the airport and was taken in a car not owned by the hotel. We waited around for ages and then the driver pilled lots of random people not staying at our hotel into our car which was quite intimidating. The driver drove really badly which was quite scary and when we left the car, the driver asked us to pay again even though we had already paid. Arriving at the hotel I told the Manager what had happened he didn't seem to be at all bothered. The porter was the only person that seemed remotely bothered. The room smelt like fuel It was really awful, and to top off our time at this hotel they were meant to arrange a train for us to travel to Agra which they didn't do even though the person I was speaking to from the hotel said it was done. So this ruined our next day and changed our whole onward plans. A Journey to Agra which should have taken 1hr 30mins took us over 5 hours.

The only positive was the porter who helped us arrange our uber the next day and a man from the hotel who I was speaking with about the train, he seemed very helpful and apologetic.

We were due to stay again but cancelled the bookings.

Room is big, and bed is comfortable.

budget type of hotel but room is beautiful. service is OK. Not so fast . Location of Aura hotel is good as it is situated near to the railway station. THe price of this hotel is also good and affordable for normal stay.

a good airport proximity hotel for easy stay near airport.

Good Location, but as usually streets in India are not like in USA or Europe. Very noisy, but two wine shops within walking distance. Room OK, but you can hear what the neighbors do. NO ROOFTOP BAR, NO RESTAURANT INSIDE. Bed linen grayish.... On the ground floor tourist adviser - very nice but the tourist company cheated on us.
