NA
fantastic friendly staff, very helpful, catered to my needs as a vision impaired traveler, went above and beyond. Rooms well appointed, very spacious and the bath was exceptional!!!
breakfast was expensive,
The hotel is in a fantastic location, very convenient for exploring Adelaide. The street views from downstairs are lovely, and it is incredibly close to dining and shopping streets with a wealth of restaurant choices. The staff were universally friendly, professional, and had a great attitude.
However, our family trip was deeply compromised by a severe lack of sleep. We spent nearly $900 AUD in total for 2 nights for two adjacent rooms, including the $70 parking fee. Despite paying the exact same rate, my room was significantly smaller than the other one. To make matters worse, both rooms were crammed into the worst noise trap right next to the elevator dead-end. The noise wasn't from a single neighbor, but rather the constant foot traffic and endless doors slamming from people going in and out of the entire hallway all night long.I suffered total insomnia the first night. On the second night, I had to stuff heavy throw under the door frame just to survive. Yet, we were still repeatedly shocked out of our sleep by sudden, loud door-slamming noises in the hallway. Both rooms also faced a multi-story car park, where the sharp screeching of tires squealing as cars spiraled up and down the ramps, along with piercing brakes, echoed loudly and startled us awake all night. Most alarmingly, there were severe facility and hygiene issues. The bathroom sink in one room had a dangerous visible crack. There was also a suspicious blue stain on the toilet seat that wouldn't come off. To top it off, there was no bin in the bathroom at all, and the bedroom bin had no plastic liner, meant only for dry recyclables. Instead, they just provided two tiny paper bags (like airplane sickness bags) in the bathroom, which immediately soaked through and ripped open when we put used wet wipes inside. When I called the front desk on the second night to complain about the noise and the crack, the staff were polite but admitted the hotel was full and could not change our rooms; they only provided earplugs after I explicitly requested them, which did not help the children at all. This fell completely short of my expectations for a 5-star property, and it was deeply disappointing.
