Beautiful room, well equipped (kettle, bottled water everyday) with comfy bed and nice bathroom. There is a wide selection on the breakfast menu - definitely you should book your stay with it!
Bed very comfortable & Breakfast was excellent
The Bar closing too early even for coffee
The place was noisy with people apparently coming and going even after midnight, staff at the reception counter not friendly. Would not stay there again.
Great central location, very friendly staff and nice spacious room with very comfortable bed!
Nothing
friendly staff, clean room, good isolation (very quiet with closed windows)
reception area is very noisy and hectic because of the cafe Benedict; bathroom facilities could be better (especially the shower head isn’t made the high water pressure); shelves in the room are very unsuitable for the luggage and clothes; there isn’t a socket at the electric kettle, so heating water in the room is very complicated; bathroom could have been cleaner
Clean, comfortable bed and the staff were very friendly and welcoming
Bathroom - particularly the shower is small if you’re over 6ft+ (1.83m) and go to the gym.
Lovely room, charmingly decorated and clean! I stay once a month when in Berlin for work. Reception staff always friendly which is especially nice after a long day
Pity that the hotel is closing for an extended period due to refurbishment. Please let your regular guests know when the hotel has reopened
Really spacious room with a balcony and a great view. It was quiet and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Best shower I've ever come across in a hotel too.
Breakfast was delicious.
The staff was so nice
The bed was so comfortable! I also loved the room style, it was very cute. The staff was super lovely and the coffee shop downstairs especially was such a bonus in the morning!
The shower head was not super nice, the pressure was not very even and it was impossible to lower or raise the shower head either. If I had been any taller it would have been quite painful.
Other than that it was a bit too warm but opening the windows fixed it!
original
the hotel had a strong smell which I recommend to address, rooms and faciliites.
There's no denying that the room looked nice, but that's about where the positivity about our stay ends.
It is patently obvious that the owners of the hotel have prioritised having 'Instagrammable' rooms over and above having rooms that actually function as decent hotel rooms. The litany of problems was as follows:
The latch on the shutters had been so poorly installed that it was impossible to properly close them.
The shower cubicle was TINY; a small quarter of a circle in the corner of the bathroom. Furthermore, the shower was of an outdated 'two tap' model, which required endless finessing in order to avoid a shower that was either scaldinly hot, or ice cold. The shower was also far too powerful for the basic shower curtain, often leading to flooding of the bathroom.
On our final morning at the hotel, the hot water failed completely, leaving us consigned to freezing cold showers before a long day's travelling.
Talking of hot, the room was stifingly hot - and this was in April, with outside temperatures of about 18c. We are so glad that we didn't stay in summer! There is no air-conditioning at the hotel and, being on a somewhat noisy street, it was not practical to leave the bedroom window open overnight.
In-room facilities were almost non-existent; a couple of black tea bags and that was it. For the price paid we would have expected the usual range of hot drinks, as well as basic bathroom essentials.
All-in-all, whilst the place looked nice, it was not suitable as a hotel. We wished we'd paid a similar price and stayed at the Premier Inn just down the road.
Size of room, ability to open windows
Place to put suitcase, more shelving in room, more shelves in bathroom, shower curtain instead of screen
Great location, breakfast
Little too loud
The coziest bed I’ve ever slept in!! Such a stunning hotel with the friendliest staff!! All so kind and helpful! Would definitely be back. Only thing is the waiting area/lobby is actually a restaurant so if it’s cold outside and you need to wait for a cab etc it‘s a bit jebdosnfjf.
