The dinner service team were excellent, as was the barman, and the room itself was very nice and comfortable.
The welcome and departure felt a little disjointed, as on both occasions we had to wait for someone to arrive to assist us. It would also have been helpful to know in advance that we were staying in the lodge, as we had already unloaded the car before realising we needed to reload everything and drive down to the lodge. The dinner itself was also a little disappointing. The lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter.

We stayed in the lodge for a wedding. Nice comfortable clean room. Fine for us and quiet. The wedding DJ played ridiculously loud music in the hotel and it was a relief to get away. There is no need to play that loud. I can only assume he has damaged his hearing already. We asked him to turn it down but he ignored our requests. Breakfast was fine and our evening meal was good. All other staff were lovely and helpful.
Don't stay in main hotel on wedding nights.
Everything about the place was great!
It's a very pretty building Breakfasts food was ok. Bed was comfortable.
We were placed in the Lodge. Got dropped off at reception and were then told that our room was a 4 minute walk back up the driveway (with our luggage) No offer of help and we are both retired. Could have been raining. Staff were not helpful. There is no fridge in the room.
Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Pretty room in the lodge with excellent views and privacy.
The reception staff were really accommodating when we twice added on extra nights.
A fridge in the room would have been nice especially in this hot weather. Sometimes we only had one hand towel between us and only one small bottle of water. But these are minor niggles

Wedding party on one of our nights woke us up as guests did not appreciate how sound travels in very hot weather and everyone has windows open to let in some air.

Room was next to industrial size extractor fans, would’ve been nice to be informed as it certainly didn’t help during higher temps with open windows - no air conditioning, which wasn’t an issue but the noise was on the louder side.

Room was spacious.
Room was tired, staff were not informative (did not explain breakfast parameters and did not explain that there is no water in the room and you have to take it from a separate fridge). The location meant getting a taxi was not easy or cheap. The price did not match the experience.
