Beautiful building situated in wonderful countryside
Food wasn't fantastic, both evening meal and breakfast was very salty.
The place seemed to lack a cosy atmosphere, it lacked something which you couldn't really pinpoint.
At breakfast I asked for butter for my toast and the waitresses pointed to the other side of the room for me to get it!
I've undertaken waitressing and i am silverservse trained, if a customer requested something I would have got it for them.
On our arrival the receptionist and another member of staff carried on chatting instead of greeting us.
I'm not sure what type of customers this hotel really wants to attract. It seemed more of a conference centre as we observed many people arriving just be for 08.00am without cases etc. I guess if you are attending this type of event top quality service isn't top of ones agenda.
The room No 38 was great for single occupancy would have been a bit small for 2
My major complaint is that there was no shaver point in the bathroom
Friendly, efficient check in and check out. Very clean room and bathroom. Just lovely really
Friendly staff and clean accommodations. Enjoyed the bar area for a late dinner and drinks very convenient.
We wished the property was walking distance to town.
Lovely staff and location
I love this hotel, location and room 18 is very comfortable. Parking is easy.
Almost everything
Breakfast. No toast with full English. Coffee was dreadful. I was offered "tea, or coffee". I went for coffee. The pot arriv3d, snd it was undrinkable. I wonder if I was served neat espresso? Even with one third coffee and two thirds milk in a cup, it was very very very dark brown. It was horrible! :(
Good location.
Easy check in.
Restaurant food was good
Room was dated, & very hot.
Staff very underwhelming- except the barman who served us on Saturday night
Gym should not be advertised as a gym - it’s a room with cardio equipment
Location
Large rooms, with comfortable beds
Bath
Although the room was nice and warm, the radiators were very noisy
The main house and location are very attractive.
The annexe and conference centre looked like they had been built in the 70s - concrete blocks and cemented over. The breakfast took 25mins to deliver.
