Clinton Inn Hotel & Event Center

Steve at the front desk was outstanding. Not only with directions as where to eat and helping us with a reservation change because of a storm. I highly recommend the Clinton inn and the aid given by Steve.

I grew up in Tenafly, and know this hotel well over 50+ years. It used to be *the* opulent destination for hotel, dining, weddings, etc.
I wish the current owners/town would realize the potential of returning this place back to the centerpiece of the town it once was. So much potential!

With that said, we needed a place to stay over Christmas. I knew the rooms were old, dated, and worn but it’s only one night, right? What a pleasant surprise to enter into one of the refurbished rooms! Clean, simple modern, roomy, bright, upgraded furnishings and bathroom — no dingy carpeting or heavy quilts! The beds were very comfortable.

Friends of ours stayed the same night. They had one of the older, dated rooms with bulky furniture, dark, old carpeting, etc. But it was clean and they said the beds were comfortable.

My last-minute booking, reasonable rates, and check-in was a breeze and a delight, thanks to Steven. He was kind, very friendly, and professional (and also responsible for the upgrade to the newer room). All my thanks to Steven!

I rated it a 4 simply because there are no dining options located inside the hotel. I do miss the days of the bar/restaurant off the lobby where you could meet up with friends.

I will return, without hesitation!

When I checked in I was greeted by Steve. He helped me answer all my questions and got me all settled in to the hotel. This is my second time at the Clinton inn hotel. It is great to be back and great to meet someone like Steve.

It was from October 9th to 12th, but on the evening of the 9th, the temperature dropped, so I tried to turn on the heater, but I think it's the first time in my life that a hotel with only cold wind and no heater has been installed. It was so cold that day that I couldn't rest properly. Fortunately, the daytime temperature rose the next day, so I spent the next evening on the same day, but it rained from Saturday, so the temperature dropped again, so I had to check out the next Sunday morning, but I left the hotel early in the morning. I wish the heater came out properly, but it's too cold, so I think we need to think carefully about the next reservation.

My high school class held our 56th Reunion at this property. The special events planner (Joanne) took our committee by the hand to ensure we had a pleasurable event. We benefitted greatly from her extensive planning experience. Joanne kept us on course and provided us with invaluable menu and activity suggestions. She was determined to make our event a success and she totally succeeded. On the day of the event, the manager (Joe) could not do enough to assist us in setting up the venue. Again, his extensive experience and know how were quite evident.
I would highly recommend, without reservation, the Clinton Inn for a special event. Their professional staff will ensure you have a successful and memorable one.

This hotel is a little dated but that is reflected in the (low) price. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. The bus to NYC is right in front of the hotel. The area is safe. Restaurants, including kosher, are very close by. Clean property.

Older property in need of renovations. No amenities in the hotel. 24 hour IHOP about 2 miles down the road for late night meal. Location perfect for northern NJ events and trips to NYC. Staff were friendly and helpful

This was not somewhere I would stay again. The check in agent, Steve, was kind and efficient. However, the room was sub-par. The bathroom was "clean" but the bathtub was peeling and stained. The cold water faucet on the sink was broken and would turn all the way around. We were able to turn it off mostly, but it would not stop dripping. The carpet was stained. There was supposed to be a refrigerator in the room. There was not. I could go on. This place needs some serious updating. I'm sure Tenafly, NJ is not a prime destination but you all could do better.

Cleanliness was an issue. Stains on carpets, stains on chairs, pealing bathroom wall paper, pealing bathtub. Overall could use some updates and improved cleaning.

Smells weird, they nocked my door before time, no coming back

Nestled in Tenafly near shops, restaurants, etc. its conveniently located. The hotel itself is supposed to go under renovations based off conversation by personnel there, however, we have stayed twice in the past few months and have not seen any work being conducted. Hope it happens because it's a nice hotel location and overall, in okay condition.
