Very friendly welcoming staff
Traditional English hotel
Great water pressure for shower
Nothing of note
Decent size deep bath.
Shower water pressure was very good.
Breakfast was good and fresh porridge was available.
Friendly staff.
Mattress was of rather poor quality. Very bouncy.
Mould on bath sealant behind bath taps.
Cheap pressed metal tea spoon in room that was stained.
Dirty TV remote.
Only 1 of the 2 windows was double glazed.
Electric Heating was rather poor under the double glazed window and the room was a little chilly.
Ok room for the price I paid.
Firstly the staff are amazing, as I booked a dog friendly room, it was perfect, patio doors were so handy leading to an area to let Marley spend a penny with ease.comfortable bed, beautiful towels. Room good overall. Staff were the stars x
One down side water wasn’t hot, but that didn’t even make me complain
Lovely old details very friendly helpfull staff
The most awful bed I have ever had to lay in
Staff could be friendlier, bed was extremely uncomfortable and we had mould on the cieling. Breakfast was ok apart from no hot water for tea and when we pointed it out, he knew. Slowest toaster ever
I liked everything about this hotel staff very helpful, friendly couldn't of been nicer food was also amazing. One of the best homemade pies I have ever tasted
Leaving to come home
The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
The cleanliness of the room and the furnishing.
The noise levels could be reduced.
An improved breakfast would be great.
Lovely lounge area. Comfortable. Clean. Great staff.

Very good location for our heads lovely room good staff good food
Nothing
I liked the decor of the room and the large space and the location was perfect for the event that we planned to attend. We also liked how pleasant and helpful the staff were
The window to our room is quite dated and my brother and I were worried by even opening it that it might break somehow. We also didn't mind sharing a bed but it would have been nice to be reminded that there were pull out beds in the sofas. Maybe the paintings in the corridors could be a bit more interesting but that's just me nit picking.
Comfy, clean, modern room with great bed. Breakfast was pretty standard but nicely presented with good variety of options.
Didn't care for the internal decoration, e.g. very gaudy wallpaper throughout ground floor restaurant and reception area (lime green sofas and seats in twinned with grey plush velvet and over the top ornate cheap looking mirrors). It did not compliment in any way a beautiful Victorian mansion.
We didn't appreciate having a gambling slot machine and large screen television on full blast in the restaurant while we ate our breakfast.
Very good location and it's right beside the train station which makes it easier.
Some renovation needs to be done in the bathroom
