Beautiful
Pros:

The welcome, the nature of the staff, the setting and the farewell. The accommodation was beautiful. The staff were all extremely helpful and willing to assist in whichever way they can; particularly thanks to Kelera helping to organise a private dinner too. The daily trip/activity options were great; taking off the burden of excessive planning. We really enjoyed the snorkeling, the singing and music throughout the stay; incredible. Individual staff were so talkative and friendly. Huge thanks to all the staff for making this such an enjoyable trip for myself and my new fiancé.

Cons:

There isnt't much to criticise. If anything, we felt the food was overcooked on a couple occasions (chicken, wula). I would suggest adjusting timing. It would be nice to have an option for simple breakfasts too; muesli, yoghurts, fruit, etc.; a continental type option, say.

Amazing resort with amazing staff
Pros:

Absolutely amazing property with the most amazing staff! It was by far our favorite resort on our multi island trip and we can’t wait to be back!!!
Every staff member was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable and we loved our room overlooking the beach.
My husband finished his PADI open water dive course with Bill from Purple Turtle Divers. The dive team is top notch and Bill was an excellent instructor. Safety comes first and the whole dive shop is operated excellently. Out of all the dive shops on our trip, this one stood out with best team, best boats, best safety and also the most fish and sea life on every dive. The dive team ensured to always find a calm spot to dive even if it was choppy elsewhere. The Yassawas were disappointing after our stay at Matamanoa.

Cons:

There was really only two things that could have been improved on. 1) We had to always hunt someone down for towels. 2) food was ok but not our favorite. I really wish that each meal had one Fijian dish as an option. I really don’t want to eat western food while in the South Pacific, I was looking for fresh seafood and local options. Also the western food sometimes missed the mark. But I happily overlook the food for everything else that was phenomenal

Unfortunately it didn’t meet the price paid.
Pros:

The nightly music was lovely during dinner. The food was pretty good and the majority of the staff were lovely.

Cons:

Not a huge amount to do, especially when the weather turns. Unfortunately there were so many maintenance issues in our room that it distracted from our stay.

Relaxing tropical island paradise
Pros:

Not too far by ferry/water taxi, and has its own coral reef to snorkel from beach, or you can pay for boats for snorkeling or diving. Nice pool, restaurant, bar, staff, & ambiance.

We will be back!
Pros:

Great week exceptionally friendly staff one of the top places we have stayed in Fiji! The food is exceptional I read they got a new chef from the British consulate in Bahrain and the food was top notch, but well priced. Lots of entertainment great atmosphere just the downtime we needed. The room and the view was perfection!

Cons:

No phone in the room to order room service but not a big deal.

Matamanoa is an incredible island, with beautiful people, music, food, drinks and amenities.
Pros:

The Island is incredible. The water is crystal clear and the reef and fish are amazing. The resort amenities (pool, furniture and lounges, bar, tennis court, restaurant) are exceptional. The food was amazing. The staff were so friendly, happy, easy to talk to and very accommodating.

Cons:

Unfortunately their massage space was being repaired, so we were put in an alternative room that didn't feel luxurious. They have a daily activities board in their foyer, but most of these activities were not run unless you specifically asked staff about them.

Pros:

Loved the snorkelling and the staff were amazing and very accomodating. They run heaps of activities for everyone. Food was great and didn’t have a problem at all. We were always full. Rooms were very clean.

Great trip away. Exactly what was needed to recharge the battery. Nice and relaxing.
Pros:

Not over priced and comfortable. Great to disconnect from all the stresses of life. The location forces you to relax.

Cons:

Not much to dislike. Simple but comfortable. We were told there would be improvements and renovations around the property next year.
