Professional property host/manager
We stayed two nights at the Fountain View Room and the view of the waters of the fountain below was beautiful. Please note that if you book the Dancing Water show with your rooms, you would need to book the nights separately or you would end up with going for the show on both nights.
The Show was excellent and should not be missed. The acrobats, the sets and the lighting, with the theatre specially designed and built for this show. We went for the 5pm show so that we would not need to rush through dinner. We finished the evening at Beijing Restaurant, a few steps from the theatre. Highly recommended. Casual relaxed ambience, good service excellent food.
Upon arrival, there was no luggage assistance service available. When I walked to the elevator, the security guards were chatting among themselves and didn't even offer to help press the elevator button. The room was plain, and the curtains were manually operated.
The breakfast service was extremely poor. Only the greeter at the entrance said "good morning." When I reached the table, there were no utensils at all!!! I noticed a male manager who appeared to be Korean. He only smiled at people who spoke English or Korean, and would ask English and Korean-speaking guests if they were satisfied with their breakfast, but completely ignored Chinese speakers. When I asked him to clear my plates, he said "wait a moment" and walked away. When he returned, he even asked me what I wanted.
Among all the staff, only Hara (or Hana) had a genuinely good smile. When I was leaving, I passed by many staff members along the way, but none of them greeted me—not even a basic "goodbye."
The hotel is located in the heart of the City of Dreams, which offers a beautiful atmosphere and is also home to an excellent casino.
We noticed that the check-in process was very fast and, above all, highly professional. We arrived at around 8:00 a.m. and were assisted immediately. We were welcomed by a young receptionist named Kathrina, who was exceptionally friendly and answered all of our questions promptly. The team truly went the extra mile by personally showing us to our room and assisting us with any additional requests. This made a significant difference, all delivered in perfect English.
A particularly pleasant surprise was receiving a birthday gift along with a card from the management, without having mentioned anything beforehand. This thoughtful gesture was extremely positive and genuinely made me very happy.
We stayed in a suite that was absolutely top-notch, offering a fantastic view of the fountain show. The room was very well designed with great attention to detail and featured many amenities. We especially appreciated the availability of international power outlets as well as charging cables for various mobile phones. The bathroom was my family’s favorite part of the suite—it was almost difficult to get everyone out on time.
Service is clearly a top priority at this hotel. We experienced a minor issue when the circuit breaker tripped after turning on the makeup mirror. We reported this to the concierge, and the follow-up as well as the speed at which this small issue was resolved were exemplary.
One point worth mentioning, although it was beyond the hotel’s control: the Dancing Water show had to be canceled halfway through due to a technical issue. After we inquired at the reception about the cancellation policy, a staff member personally contacted the show organizers and provided us with all the relevant information. Thank you for this assistance, which was not expected but very much appreciated.
Check-out was also a great experience, as it was quick and completed without any long waiting time. Please note that a deposit of 1,000 Macau Dollars is required, which was refunded immediately.
I travel internationally quite frequently, and the Hyatt truly stands out with its excellent team and outstanding rooms at reasonable prices. I will gladly return, and when traveling to Macau, there is no longer a need for me to fly to Las Vegas, which is my usual destination.
Great hotel with attentive staff. Large clean rooms amazing bed and linen. Club lounge well worth it with wide variety of food and drinks. Staff in the lounge were excellent.
Our stay at Grand Hyatt Macau was absolutely wonderful and genuinely memorable.
We were visiting to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and it was also our first family holiday since my father passed away, so this trip meant a great deal to us. From the moment we arrived, the kindness, warmth and care shown by the team made us feel very well looked after and completely at ease.
A very special thank you to Mavis, who truly went above and beyond. She personally escorted us to the Club Lounge and our room, shared helpful information, and checked in on us throughout our stay. Her kindness, professionalism and attention to detail made a huge difference and ensured our experience was seamless and really meaningful. She is a real credit to the hotel.
Check-in was handled beautifully by Beverley, who was warm, welcoming and efficient. At check-out, Kristina looked after us just as well, guiding us to transport with a smile and making our departure stress-free. We were particularly impressed that the team already knew who we were at check-out thanks to Mavis’ communication - it made us feel genuinely recognised and cared for.
The room was beautiful, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping were excellent throughout, and it truly felt like a home away from home.
The Club Lounge was a real highlight of our stay. The staff were attentive, friendly and consistently went the extra mile. A special mention to Chef Ray, who was lovely to chat with and prepared some truly delicious food.
We also had a fantastic experience at Zekko.
Tina, Ken and Chenny provided outstanding service - warm, attentive and professional. It was also great to see how consistently well they treated all guests, which really speaks volumes about the service standards at this hotel.
Breakfast was pleasant overall. While the Club Lounge stood out more in terms of food and service, Moises deserves a special mention for recommending some excellent freshly made juices and for his friendly interactions. Ruike was also lovely and always greeted us with a warm smile.
As someone who works in hospitality and trains teams internationally, I was genuinely impressed by the service standards across the hotel. Everything felt natural, thoughtful and guest-focused rather than scripted.
I’ve already recommended Grand Hyatt Macau to friends, family and colleagues, and I cannot wait to return. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but there will definitely be a next time.
Thank you to the entire team for such a special stay.
Hyatt is always reliable for a comfortable and cosy stay at Macau. Love the breakfast selection where the Cantonese food is excellent, exceeding my expectations.
Hyatt, top service, as usual. A good value hotel, every time. Staff are attentive, things run smoothly, F&B is always top class.
Don't bother asking for a non smoking room. They do not enforce their rules and when you confront them they llie. Liars!!! Myvroom smelled like an old ashtray. It was dusgusting. It made me feel ill! I was there last year for business and the same oroblem. I wrote to them about it and I received an empty apology. This year I arrivex and they noted in my recird the isuue and told me they had a non smoking room for me. I asked them if it had never been smoked in? They said it was,a non smoking floor. Perhaps they ran a purifier or something because when i arrived to my room staff were just leaving but 1 hiur later it began to smell horrible. I slept horribly. Ibtold multiple staff about it and all they did was dissimulate and offer empty apologies. Jerks!!!
If you want a non smoking room do not stay at Grand Hyatt Macau. It does not exist. They are damn liars. This happened 2 years in a row. Same BS. Thst makes it intentional.
Great experience as usual. Treated like a VIP as a globalist member. Very thoughtful in the details in the room when I mentioned I had a 3 year old, they provided baby slippers, baby bath robes and baby dental kit!
As a 12-year Hyatt Globalist (and former Diamond) member, I can honestly say that my stay at the Grand Hyatt Macau was the best Hyatt experience I’ve had so far. From the generous upgrade with an amazing fountain view, the thoughtful birthday welcome amenity, to the beautiful decor and very clean room, everything felt well thought out. The Grand Club lounge was excellent, and dining at Mezza 9 and Beijing Kitchen was also a highlight. Overall, every part of the stay exceeded what I was expecting.
What stood out the most, though, was the people. The warmth and genuine kindness of the staff really made a difference, and it never felt forced or scripted. Everyone seemed to truly care about making guests comfortable and happy, and many times they went above and beyond what I was even asking for. In my experience, Grand Hyatt Macau really sets the standard for what great hospitality should look like.
When I checked in at the Grand Club Lounge, Cindy and Duke welcomed me right away and made me feel at home. Throughout the stay, I interacted with them several times, and each time they were incredibly attentive, professional, and just genuinely helpful. They always tried their best to make sure everything was smooth and comfortable. Peggy and Tina at the Grand Club Lounge were also wonderful and always ready to help with anything I needed. During breakfast at Mezza 9, Christine and Aris were great as well—very warm, friendly, and always trying to offer a little extra help, which I really appreciated.
While I mentioned a few names above, every staff member I came across during my stay (even those I didn’t get a chance to learn the names of) was amazing. The level of care, attention to detail, and customer-first attitude really made this stay special. I’m very thankful for the experience and truly had a wonderful time at this hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hyatt -Macau. The hotel is well-located, modern, and comfortable, with great fountain views and a relaxing atmosphere.
Beautiful hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very clean room and hotel. High quality bed sheets and towels. Bathroom was absolutely beautiful. Large bath tub and rain shower with great water pressure. View of the water show was fantastic. Very close to restaurants, shopping and casinos. No need for taxis as everything was within walking distance. Highly recommended.
From check-in to check-out, everything was impressive and well-organized.
A special mention goes to the Grand Club team, who made my entire stay a memorable one.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Joseph for his exceptional hospitality during our evening tea and cocktail hours. He truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and exceeded our expectations.
Additionally, I would like to thank Ray, Peggy, and Weber from the front desk for their warm hospitality and genuine care throughout our stay.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is big and clean, but there is bad smoking smell in the hallway and the elevator. I am reluctant to recommend this hotel to other if you are sensitive to smoking smell
My family and I had a great time staying over. We were welcome with great service from the team Ken, Joseph, Lucky, Chloe and Tina.
We were very lucky to arrive during the cocktail timing.
Check in was smooth, Chloe was very thoughtful and understanding towards my daughter needs and prepared the extra bed for my daughter.
Cocktails hours team were fabulous, Tina was clear with my check in paperwork and she is so easy to speak to. Really capable and anticipatory with my family needs.
Ken, Joseph and Lucky, they went the extra miles of servicing us, my family and I really had a fantastic time at the club lounge and stay.
We traveled as a family with kids. The Grand Hyatt is located in a great spot, and it's very convenient as you can walk to many places. We booked a Fountain View Suite, and the view was absolutely stunning. The airport is also right nearby, and the kids were thrilled to watch planes take off and land as soon as they woke up. They could also enjoy the fountain shows, the cable cars, and occasionally see the light rail passing by. The children really enjoyed their time in the room as well—they didn't even want to go home on the day we checked out. The breakfast was delicious, and there was a wide variety of options.
We had a great stay at the Grand Hyatt Macau overall. Our check-in experience was excellent — Mavis at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She even walked us to our room to confirm whether we needed an extra bed and made sure we had enough water and amenities.
The breakfast buffet was outstanding — easily the best meal we had during our time in Macau.
The only downside was that our room smelled quite smoky when we checked in. Not sure if that’s common in Macau hotels, but it did make the room less comfortable. Since we were only staying one night, we decided not to switch rooms. This is something I will confirm next time at the front desk before checking in to make sure it's a smoke-free room.
Otherwise, the service and experience were solid, and we appreciated the staff’s attentiveness.
This hotel has an extremely convenient location. Its close to the airport, offers plenty of food options nearby, and getting a taxi is always easy. The staff were very friendly and left a wonderful fist impression on me and my family esp Katrina and Kent.
Hence, our room was very clean and I want to give special thanks to the hsk staff who cleaned our room during our stay, esp on 26/11. I thought I had lost my ring, but when I returned to the hotel, I was relieved and grateful to find it safely placed back in the room.
Last, the breakfast selection was great, and the coffee was excellent! This is a fantastic hotel for both business travellers and families. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Great location - very central to the macau hotel area. The rooms were clean and spacious with an open view of macau. The service was wonderful, they prepared the birthday cake for my mother on a last minute notice. Very reasonably priced as well - would recommend.
Great hotel with amazing service. We had a beautiful suite, the club lounge was fantastic. One of the best breakfast we have had, huge choice
