Nice staff, comfy beds, clean, excellent waffles 🧇
Commode wouldn't flush and telephone didn't work. Maintenance came in and repaired both.⁰
My stay was short, but the hotel had all that I needed to be comfortable. My daughter and I were there to tour Western Carolina University, and this hotel was the closest, definitely recommend if you are in need of a clean place to stay.
There wasn't much to do in the area, maybe if I had more time I would have explored to see what else was in the area to do.
Friendly staff, very clean and modern, comfortable bed, and a great shower.
Not a thing
I really liked that they allowed my dog. And the price was decent even though the pet fee was per day.
I wasn’t really aware until I got there that there was a pet fee that was charged per day. I wasn’t upset about it. However, there were stains on the bedsheets, trash under the bed and the TV remote was missing so it was not very clean. There was also a huge crack in the sink and something else on the shower wall… Pre-existing damage didn’t really affect our stay but it would’ve been nice if it was a little cleaner
Ok
Biscuits were cold and hard.
We planned to relax for 1 nite on our way to Harrah"s in Cherokee. The pricing was about the ONLY thing we liked.
The check in was so frustrating! We were told...they did NOT have a pet friendly room that met our CONFIRMED request. I had previously called BEFOE & AFTER I booked as I explained. I even gave them Autumn's name who I spoke to in advance. So...now their remedy was to give us a non pet friendly room on the 3rd floor with elevator access thru the front lobby... was not acceptable to us. I asked for an alternative on the 1st floor so we SETTLED on a 2 queen bed room on 1st floor.. ( not a King Room as orig confirmed) The TV reception was horrible..no signal every 2 min. Our phones charge was only increased ever slowly..never more than 2 % per hour. Our dogs kept rolling their toys under the beds..and the retrieve revealed how filthy the room actually was... Lint , dog hair , kids , toys!? Really? The breakfast was pathetic... very little options...just install a snack vending machine...you might get more. Behind the smokes and mirrors of nice updated decor is a shame of a stay. The clerk at front desk was swamped with customers and she was the only one..Her name was Latiba. I had to ask for a print-out of what I finally ended up with as she initially did not ask my name and was quoting a different guests reservation.
Not a relaxing stay...inexpensive room you get what you pay for! Lesson learned...shame on ME!
Not much.
Upon arrival the room was not cleaned. The bathroom still had remnants of the previous guest. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience considering the price point.
The king size bed was amazing, and comfortable. Location to WCU was great.
When traveling alone, especially as a female, it was not okay that desk staff announced my room number to the entire lobby. This made me uncomfortable and even hesitant to continue to stay.
Coffee in the morning was awful. Did not eat the breakfast, is a smaller hotel, so expected some shortfalls.
It was also a bit expensive for just one night at $140 for the lack of amenities offered. Really only stayed there because it was close to the college.

Cleanliness and comfortable
The location was great and close to Cherokee; the staff were friendly.
The cleanliness of the hotel was lacking and we found a stink bugs in our room and hallway.
