Beds were uncomfortable. Both were on a lean. Had to put cushions under the mattress to flatten it out.

Reception staff need better training, the extra charges you get slapped with the moment you rock up is ridiculous I came for a mental health stay and certain staff definitely impacted my mental health. No one was quick to help, I was overcharged my bond fee, made to feel like I was an inconvenience. There was one receptionist that invited us to an hour presentation with some pretty cool gifts. I was told I was welcome to attend but as I had small kids my partner had an exemption from attending. When I went downstairs to be checked in for my time Caron greeted me in the most abrupt manner, she told me I was no longer welcome to come because my partner wasn’t coming she had no compassion towards my situation and her service was abysmal. I’m very grateful for the breakfast crew they really empathised with my situation and picked up the duty of care towards customers.

They were trying very hard to pitch their Wyndham club membership. Also the tv were outdated. First room was very dusty and bathroom was having leakage coming to bedroom but after reporting to reception they gave us new room which was good but again Tv were outdated.

Overall, the facilities were quite run down.

What made the experience particularly disappointing was that construction was taking place in all the neighbouring rooms on my floor during my stay.

* Construction started at 7:00 AM each morning for the three days I was there. It was loud and woke me up every morning.
* Tradespeople were constantly walking up and down the hallways throughout the day.
* The tradespeople were also quite loud and frequently slammed doors. The force of the doors closing would cause my own door to rattle, and at times it genuinely felt like someone was trying to enter my room.
* Having construction workers regularly outside my door made me feel uneasy and impacted my ability to relax during my stay.
* The door had a deadbolt lock, but there was nothing for the bolt to lock into.
* The door had a separate lock, but it felt flimsy and insecure.
* The bed was lumpy, and you could see the unevenness of the foam just by looking at it.
* The pillows and bedding looked and felt overused.
* The bedside table was unstable and would sway and wobble.
* There were stains behind the lounge room curtain.
* The bathroom had no light over the shower area; only the sink had a light fixture.
* The power outlet in the bathroom appeared unfinished following a replacement.
* The bathroom door did not close properly.
* The living room TV would switch on, but I couldn’t even access free-to-air channels.

I understand that facilities need to be updated and maintained, but I don’t think it was appropriate to have guests staying in the middle of active construction, particularly when the work was taking place in the rooms directly surrounding occupied guests. Between the early morning noise, the constant movement of tradespeople, and the condition of the room itself, it was not an enjoyable stay and was a significant contrast to my previous experience at this property.
