Spacious with good facilities

Presented common areas.
The room absolutely stank of cigarettes coupled with attempts to mask it by cleaning products. The whole decor and curtains need changing. The hotel just said we could go somewhere else and get our money back if we wanted. We were going to a bday party close by and had zero time to look for somewhere else. The smell made us feel sick. Poor showing from the hotel in their reaction to the situation. My guess is that they wouldn’t stay in it.

Breakfast was a little disapointing and restaurant choices were fairly limited

Lift not good and bed was very bad
Buffet breakfast hard food well overcooked

Everything was good apart from restaurant chairs could have done with a good clean and all cobwebs in the windows behind bench seats
It was well located for what we wanted to do which was visit cannon hall farm which we did

The rooms are very basic, no air con.
Staff were pleasant
Paid for a room with air con, no air con in room provided. Would not change my room, apparently full, certainly didn’t look full. Room was dirty, plumbing issue with toilet and sink, blocked throughout .
Waiters 1.5 hrs for evening meal, finally delivered at 10pm ! Sirloin steak was not sirloin and inedible
