Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham - Geneva

Could have had a better selection for breakfast. Each day was the same. The refrigerator needed to be defrosted.

Everything was very nice.

No microwave in the room

Poorly draining bathroom sink which couldn’t be repaired til next day due to no maintenance staff.
No safety rubber mats for tub….86 yr old mom with and was very dangerous for me at 64!

The breakfast was not satisfactory. It was pre-wrapped sandwiches. Not really a fresh breakfast.
The ceiling of the room had water damage which looked fresh and still wet. Nothing happened, although I was afraid that maybe pieces would fall down.
And the weirdest event was the fire department training outside our window. It was a Monday evening. We went out for dinner and as we walked through the lobby we were greeted with a crowd of fire fighters, which was no big deal. However, when we returned to the hotel about an hour later there were no parking spaces left since the fire fighters must have driven separately. We found one spot left in the back parking lot. We went up to our room to listen to the diesel engines running underneath our window. The ladder truck was running under our window. Then I took another look out the window to see if possibly they would be finishing up. The ladder was being elevated up to the roof right infront of our window! I realize that the fire department needs to train in real life situations but we paid for a comfortable room which it was not during that evening.

I was given a room across from the elevator. It was extremely noisy.

Room had a musty smell, coffee was watery, WiFi didn't work, the housekeeper alarmed us when they kept trying to force the door open without any knock or announcement when we had the Do Not Disturb sign up and were still in bed an hour before check out time. We had to yell to get them to stop and got no apology.

Choices at breakfast was so limited

Would have liked shared use of pool in next door hotel.

Very basic breakfast but adequate. Tile floor in bathroom were VERY slippery when wet

It was very difficult to find the entrance. .we passed it 3times..area around sign and entrance need to be trimmed back .also would help on visibility existing and entering. Thank you

Clean up at breakfast and lack of adult beverages for sale onsite.

Immediately upon entering the elevator was a strong stench, akin to a wet dog smell. When I entered the room I Immediately noticed there were no trash bags in the cans. I was missing the ice bucket in the room and no plastic cups in the bathroom. The shower pressure was extremely low, a trickle and the wash basin in the bathroom was very sluggish, causing the sink to fill up quickly during my daily hygiene routine. The most disappointing of all was about an hour after I had settled into the room, I saw a roach crawling on the desk! That is unacceptable! I reported it to management and they only apologized. No room discount or anything else. I will not be staying there again.
