Relaxing stay
Pros:

Lovely room, enjoyed the balcony on the superior double, room and bathroom were all clean. Good breakfast, nice bar area, staff were friendly. We also had a dinner on one of the nights, which was more reasonably priced than local restaurants and we both enjoyed it.
It was lovely and peaceful and the grounds were lovely.

Ok but the house has so much potential. It could be a first class venue but it lacks maintenace
Pros:

Great. All the staff were very helpful and the chef was brilliant. My partner got the times for breakfast wrong but chef was so understanding. He made us a lovely breakfast, so accommodating.

Cons:

The room ie ground floor for dogs ,was tired and in need of a refurbishment. The carpet was dirty - why put a carpet in a room designated for dogs??? Use vinyl flooring!!. On the plus it was a ground floor room with French windows which were perfect for taking the dogs out in the evening/night. The grounds were great but needed more tlc.

Lovely old hotel with superb breakfast and excellent staff
Pros:

The rooms were spotless, the breakfast excellent and the staff were second to none! We were greeted by Ollie on our arrival - he was lovely and so welcoming.
