Excellent location. Spotlessly clean. Great communication. Extremely polite and welcoming staff. Would recommend.
Pros:

Location is great. The old fashioned styling is charming. It was very clean. I appreciated the fridge in my room. I also liked the commitment to the environment. The bathroom was plenty big. The shower was excellent. I had a view of the top of St Peter’s church tower too. We were there in June which has light nights and the heavy curtain helped the room stay dark overnight. The aircon was quiet and efficient. There was some noise from the restaurant across the street which had tables outside but not much - the window helped deaden the sound. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful from the lobby to the breakfast staff. Communication in advance of our stay was excellent. We appreciated the advice about how to get there from the airport- we took the bus - and they organised a taxi for our early flight home.

Cons:

Although the room was spotlessly clean, it felt very dark with the dark wood and the dark carpet. I realise that matches the unique and charming styling of the lobby but I think it would benefit from lifting the darker tones. The breakfast area while clean felt it could do with a lighter refresh too.

Emplacement et petit dejeuner bien que le jus d’orange semblait venir d’une autre planete

Cons:

L’hotel appate avec de supers photos de chambres, nous avons eu droit a une chambre minuscule, indigne d’un 4 etoiles. (Ch 517). A vue de nez, je pensz qu’elle ne devais faire guere plus de 2m50 × 2m50 metres (hors un petit couloir) De plus, la chambre n’est faite QUE si vous le demandez. Pour avoir simplement des serviettes propres a 18 heures, la receptionniste m’a proprement envoyé ""sur les roses"

Great Location and Charming Stay in Old Riga
Pros:

Rixwell Old Riga Palace Hotel is a nice place to stay if you want to explore Riga on foot. The location is excellent — right in the heart of the Old Town, close to restaurants, cafés, attractions, and public transport. It’s very easy to walk everywhere and enjoy the city atmosphere.

Overall, the hotel has a pleasant and comfortable feel. The rooms are decent, and despite being in a busy central area, the experience was enjoyable. The hotel has charm and works well for a city break or short stay.

Cons:

Because of the central location, it can be a little noisy at night, especially for light sleepers. It’s understandable in the middle of the Old Town, but better soundproofing would definitely improve the experience.

The staff could also be a little warmer and more engaging. They were professional, but a friendlier and more welcoming approach would make guests feel more valued.

Breakfast has room for improvement as well. There is enough food available, but the quality could be better. It would be lovely to see more fresh and locally sourced products, along with proper fresh juices instead of lower-quality processed options. Small improvements there would make a big difference to the overall experience.

Mehr oder weniger günstige Unterkunft welches in die Jahre gekommen ist und nicht leise ist.
Pros:

Zentrale Lage nahe der Altstadt. Frühstück war gut und auch zeitlich sehr entspannt. Die Rezeption ist 24 Stunden besetzt. Sehr gut!! Getränke in der Lobby verfügbar!

Cons:

Irgendwie wirkte alles etwas alt und düster. Die Zimmer ließen sich nicht richtig abdunkeln und es gab keinen Kühlschrank. Das Hotel wird offenbar auch gern von Junggesellenabschied-Gruppen genutzt, was einen sehr lauten Lärmpegel, gerade nachts verursacht.

Nagyszerű szálláshely, közel a központhoz.
Pros:

Udvarias és kedves személyzet a bejelentkezés és minden más gördülékenyen ment.
A reggeli nagyon jó volt: hideg-meleg ételek, friss gyümölcsök, sütemények, gyümölcslevek.
Az ágy nagyon kényelmes volt, és belvárosi elhelyezkedés ellenére sem volt zaj. A főtér 5 perc séta távolságra volt.
Erkélyes szobát kaptunk ingyen.

Cons:

A fűtés már nem ment a szobában hiszen május vége volt, bár kissé hűvös idő volt odakint, mi mondjuk nem fáztunk takaróval, de erre lehet, hogy figyelni lehetne.
