O facto do spa não estar a funcionar mas entendo o motivo .. a tempestade deixou marcas e marcar estadia nos hotéis e restaurantes locais também é uma forma de ajudar

Shower would let water drip outside. The shower head did not hold itself in place. These things should be tested frequently.
Sound isolation is not that good. Possible to hear the TV from another room.

Für Individualreisende nicht zu empfehlen und nicht 4 Sterne wert.
Pros:

Wir kennen das Hotel, waren in den letzten Jahren schon mehrfach dort Gast und hatten bei vorherigen Aufenthalten auch schon die sehr geräumige Suite gebucht. Die ruhige Lage, die gute Anbindung und ideale Lage, um unsere in Portugal lebenden Freunde zu besuchen, waren der Grund für die Buchung.

Cons:

Die totale Ausrichtung als Tagungshotel (täglich, auch am Wochenende) lässt alle anderen Gäste allerhöchstens zur Nebensache werden. Die Lounge konnte tagsüber teilweise nicht genutzt werden (weil dort Tagungsgäste ihre Pause machten oder das Mittagessen einnahmen und Lounge-Möbel dafür entfernt wurden). Während des Frühstücks wurden ab 9 Uhr im gesamten Restaurant umgeräumt, für das Mittagessen eingedeckt. Frühstücksgäste bekamen dann teilweise einen Tisch zugewiesen, weil alle anderen Tische schon eingedeckt wurden. Die dadurch entstehende Geräuschkulisse (Tische verschieben, Gläser eindecken, Absprachen des Personales untereinander und die damit verbundene Unruhe) verstärkte den Eindruck, Nebensache zu sein. Selbst das Begrüßen der Gäste beim Betreten des Hauses durch das Empfangspersonal war - trotz offensichtlich nicht anderweitiger Tätigkeiten - keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Teile des Personals sprechen kein oder ungenügend Englisch. Dies erschwerte die Konversation und verstärkte den Eindruck, dass man möglichst wenig mit Gästen sprechen möchte. Am Spätnachmittag einen Drink an der Bar zu bestellen, war nicht immer einfach, weil die Bar nicht besetzt war, teilweise nur ungeschultes Personal dort war oder auch auf Klingeln (eine Klingel gab es dort immerhin) erst sehr zeitversetzt reagiert wurde. In einer unserer 5 Nächte kam es zudem 15 mal zu Stromunterbrechungen innerhalb von 2 Stunden. Unangenehm dabei war, dass sich nach jeder Unterbrechung automatisch das Licht und der TV im Zimmer einschalteten. By the Way: Im Hotel wird angeblich Nachhaltigkeit und Regionalist groß geschrieben. Aufbackbrötchen vom Gastrohändler und Butter in Plastik-Portionspackungen sind dabei nicht so ganz stimmig. Hier sind selbst die Pousadas in Portugal viel weiter und lassen sich von einem regionalen Bäcker beliefern bzw. stellen einfach ein größeres Stück Butter auf das Buffet.

Apanhámos uma concentração de automobilismo portanto o hotel estava um pouco confuso e cheio. Também tivemos uma família com crianças que ocupou o átrio do primeiro andar e estava a desarrumar tudo e a fazer bastante barulho nessa zona comum do hotel. Para além disso, o funcionário com a máquina de pressão esteve o dia todo a limpar o pátio. Eu compreendo que são situações que acontecem, apenas perturbaram a calma habitual a que estamos habituados neste hotel.
