Bed and pillows are very comfortable. exceptionally comfortable for this price point. very big plus on the bed and pillows. bathroom was nice. didn't use any of the outside facilities but they had spaces for small gatherings around firepits and a small seating area indoors. fresh baked sweets every day (cookies, brownies, etc.) and coffee always available. free wifi, with the router right in the room. not sure if all rooms had it but I had a good connection.
no fridge in the room. they had a large staff fridge that was available 24/7 if anyone needed to use it (along with other kitchen essentials). to those reading that aren't from the area, keep in mind that Santa Cruz is built different. I would not trust this practice in areas like sacramento or the bay area, but santa cruz is different. still not my jam though I like to have cold waters with me in my room and would prefer even in a small in-room refrigerator.
shower was nice but but the shower head was low pressure (typical for most hotels).
better power options for charging phones and devices would be nice.
Everything! You never know what to expect but it exceeded our expectations. Calvin was great, wonderful directions around the area. The boardwalk was close! Amazing breakfast place Calvin recommended, it was delicious! Very nice room, amazing coffee! I’ll be coming back !
The location was awesome!
There wasn’t anything. Everything was really great!
It's quiet and clean.
There is no one to check you in at arrival. Taped instructions to call. But no one answered.
Small, quiet, well located
Needs some upkeep. I realize being near ocean is brutal on properties so I still rate it really well.
Clean rooms, comfortable bed and friendly staff.
None
The area was very unappealing, shady and quite frankly I would not feel safe walking in the area.. Definitely not a place to take your wife. No one was in the office when we arrived, we did arrive early, as we were in contact with Calvin by text. His comment that said be here on time so I’m not stuck at the hotel was odd to me but when I got there I saw why. I went to front door and no one. So I looked around trying to figure out where to park.
But know that Calvin got his money, as of this writing
The area was bad bad bad.. Very unappealing, shady and frankly I didn’t feel safe just standing outside of the place. Definitely not a place to take the wife. No one was in the office doors locked from outside a note to call Calvin if u need help. I had been chatting with Calvin via text. He advised me I could be early, I accepted and we got there earlier than I had expected. His text at the time I thought was strange, he said please let me know if u can’t make it early so I won’t be stranded at the hotel.. I thought that was odd until I arrived and saw where the place was located. Then that comment made sense. But the hotel still took my money at the time of this writing
Location was convenient
No central heating / air conditioning.
Heater was either inoperable or not easy to operate . Also , the LG remote(s) for the flat screen were hard to figure out.
Everything was excellent!
Solid little hotel with comfy bed, nice yard and pet friendly facilities.
Floors were a bit dirty, the location has some homeless problems.
Perfect location for downtown and the beach. We took our beach cruisers and rode our bikes to a coffee shop every morning and then loaded up backpacks and rode bikes down to the beach! Everything is right there!
Even if the place is unmanned after 5 PM, very clear instructions are provided. Room was wonderful. Brownies and coffee all day. Close to Catalyst, reason why we were there. Walkable to mall and plenty of places to eat nearby.
Parking away from the property.
The inn was tucked away from downtown and close to the beach. Quaint and cozy.
Close proximity to other rental properties and loud tenants of those rentals.
