Hotel location was excellent as Dongmen street market is right beside and also the Lao Jie MRT Station (underground) is also on the left side of the hotel building. However hotel need a revamp or reworks (renovation) as most of the ceiling and walls are turning yellowish and strong smell in the toilet and room. Furniture are also very old and creeky.

Room condition can be improved. Safe not working, no minibar fridge, no 3-1 coffee provided - only 2 miserable tea-bags.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Very clean.

The location is very good. Lots of shopping, eateries, resturants within walking distance. Even the MRT is within 5 minutes.

hotel with amazing location, from hotel lobby to Laojie station only 50m! yes is only 50m! encourage for those who like shopping at Dongmen Street to book this hotel. Hotel overall still acceptable... receptionist & cleaner auntie very friendly.

The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the Dongmen shopping district, and a stone throw from the MRT station (exit D next to H&M). However, the hotel is run down and worn out. And the staff are less than friendly. The breakfast menu is targeted at the local clientele only.

This hotel really need some renovation. There are wet stain all over . From 6th floor 1st time we stay. To 2nd floor 2nd time we stay.
There are little bugs at one of the room on 2nd floor.
Good thing is location. Walk across is the MTR station. Food and shopping is down stairs. Things are very cheap.
Mean reason stay is location and price is the only plus.

Value for money

Good.
Location is great. Shopping just walking distance. Don't have to worry about food cause they are very close. Next to a mall. Free breakfast. Free instant coffee package and tea every day.
Price.

Bad.
They only give you 1 key. Bed is little hard. Mold/fungi everywhere.
Wall are thin. I can hear the next room conversation.
Beware of noseeum. 😰My kids got lots of bites

Below average & breakfast was horrible. The non-smoking room we asked for on the non-smoking floor stunk with smoke. We were supposed to get a city view and THIS (pic attached) was it...are you kidding me! 0.o

Good location but the room looks tired.

Sadly we were very disappointed with our stay this time round.

Stuff doesn’t speak English at all, internet doesn’t work most of the time

I always love to stay in Sunon hotel because of the location and price. They also offered free breakfast. What has changed now, however, is that they also request identification card for friends to visit

I have stayed Sunon many times already. The major reason is that this hotel is very close by Dongmen. Furthermore, the price is very reasonable. It has a pretty good wifi. Periodically it will be providing free upgrade for a better room

Hotel next to metro . Excellent. But rooms smelt.little damp. Rat running down hall. Old and worn . But value for money .

Minimum visit is twice a year and it has always been my favourite hotel for the past 5 years. The staff is friendly and the hotel is easily accessible by subway to most places of interest. It is within walking distance to the Dongmen area (ladies shopping paradise) as well as local eateries.
