All the staff were really helpful and when we checked in , everything was explained clearly about keys entrance etc . Really clean room with a nice bathroom and tea making facilities!! The hotel was so magical! Felt like I was Harry Potter staying in Diagon Alley !! A really special place xx
Easy instructions provided before check in, the reception is at the sister hotel. Mouton Blanc breakfast is also at the sister hotel. Staff were very helpful and happy to answer questions and help.
Room was clean and had everything we needed.
Shower gel and soap in bathrooms but no shampoo and conditioner. Beds comfortable, wonderful luxury to be able to walk around the island after dark when all the crowds have left!
We had the mezzanine on the third floor so lots of steps but didn't put us off at all.
Location was great, hotel is old and rug is scary.
Very dirty.
Check in was late, not til after 4:30. Black mold in ceiling bathroom. No one available to help. Zero customer sevice
Old structure but very cool location. Comfortable size room.
This is a complicated review.
The hotel itself is located in an amazing old building, on an amazing street on the island. A once in a lifetime opportunity!
The hotel rooms are small and they leave a lot to be desired. Bathrooms are new ish… but the carpets are ruck, stained and gross.
Also you’ll be awakened at 5 am as the many stores and restaurants on the little street obtain their daily deliveries. This is only because the streets are walk only and they must be empty to move merchandise down the streets.
That said, we wouldn’t do it any other way. It’s an amazing place to see, especially in the evening after all the tourists leave and you have the place to yourself.
It was a decent value for the location. We liked staying over and seeing the Mont at night when it was quiet. Make sure you remember that the reception is way before the hotel. It says reception Les Terraasses Poulard, right above the Restaurant La Confiance. The room was clean, small, beds were good, view of the bay which was nice. The buffet breakfast was included and the usual mix of breads, meats cheeses with hot eggs, bacon and sausage. Everything seemed fresh. Many of the restaurants are owned by the same company so the menu is very similar. I wouldn’t stay for more than 1 night with limited food options and the abbey is gorgeous, but having a couple of hours to explore it and the island is plenty.
Enjoyed our two night stay in Sept 2025.
Very confusing check in (check in at a different hotel which was not communicated beforehand) breakfast in a different hotel/restaurant, no hotel restaurant or bar, completely not as advertised as you are not actually staying in Hotel Mouton (and the restaurant of this place wasn’t open the whole stay) all topped off with the laundry collection staff shouting in the street at 4 am and throwing laundry bags from a great height with no regard for anyone!!
Between 9 am and 630 pm you can barely walk down the street because theres SO many people. Hotel was good. Check in is near the entrance and should be specified as we walked up to the hotel, which took about 25 minutes to get 100 feet before being turned around and sent back to the entrance… Not all rooms are actually within the hotel. Facilities were good once we found our room.
Small, but clean and comfortable. No fridge or microwave though. We didn’t expect this room to be quiet, since the building is situated on the main street of the Mont Saint Michel, but we didn’t realize the workers would be as noisy as they were at 5AM. We would rent it again though. It was so incredible to stay right on the Mont Saint Michel and to go back to our room whenever we wanted.
Hotel is well located for a visit - I would especially recommend it as a base for seeing the cathedral/abbey early the next morning
Warning - it is very very busy so be prepared for a long wait from the carpark to the island if going by bus - we just walked it with an overnight bag in 30 mins
2nd warning - he restaurants appeared to all close at seven which was unexpected and caused some angst.
3rd warning - car park is not free - 28€ on exit
The location is amazing, I wish the check in was more obvious. You check in at a different area right at the front. We walked all the way to the hotel ane had to turn around in busy crowds. There is no air conditioning, but they provide a fan. The breakfast was wonderful and it was nice to be able to be in the town when the crowds aren't there.
It was amazing to stay inside the Monde St. Michael.
The rooms were ofcourse small, but they were clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was very good, with many different options.
Check in was at a different place. We were told this but only after booking and paying.
Breakfast was at another different place which we ere only told out during check in.
at 7am all of the barrels and bottles for the island were loaded and unloaded out side our window it was about 1 hour of continuous clashing and banging, no very relaxing
I wouldn't call this a good hotel experience
Tidy room in an older building. Clean. Comfortable beds. The only not downside is three flights of steep often quite narrow stairs to get to our room. If you stay here travel light.
Very disappointing hotel room. It was not in he main location the Joan of Arc room was down the street and under and arch way and through a door to a small unattractive room. I can't say one good thing about the room but we were so tired it had to do. Next time I'll spend more to stay at a nicer place. It's magical staying on the Mont overnight but this room was a big disappointment. I have stayed on the amount before in the same hotel group which I remember being adequate. This was not.
Staying the night on Mont Saint-Michel was nothing short of magical and I highly recommend it. The Mouton Blanc was wonderful and its included breakfast was delicious and fueled us the next morning so we could climb up to the abbey : )
Terrible. Save your money and stay off the island and go back to a nice place!! Biggest regret of a lovely vacation. You can get a suite for this price but to be met with a musty smelling reception from the 1970s and a below budget room using thousand wash balding towels. Zero customer service as I’m met with a shrug for a simple ask ... Not even Milk provided in the rooms…Staff are there to literally to literally man the desk.
Firstly, you check in down the very busy street with 2 very rude front desk staff, our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait around. The room had no fridge, access to water, no fan (very hot), poor lighting
