We have stayed at this hotel before, the location is very good.
Check in was fairly good although the reception staff were having problems with the key registration system.
On our return to the rooms on second evening of our stay we were surprised that the rooms had not been serviced. On raising this with reception we were shown a sign on the desk saying that if you wanted the room to be serviced then you should pre book this. This was not pointed out when we checked in.
The reception was extremely busy with people checking in, Managers were running around trying to locate cots and linen for guests who had checked in that day.
The impression that we got was that there was a real staff shortage at this hotel.
On checking out we were told that there was £40 to pay as my dog had stayed in the room. I pointed out that on previous stays at this hotel there had been no mention of a charge.
The charge was £20 per night to cover specialist cleaning, I challenged a two night charge as the room hadn't been serviced after first nights stay.
The receptionist told me that the charge was detailed on the hotel website, we have tried to find it on the website without any success. In the end we were told just to leave, get out.

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We had one evening meal at the hotel during our stay, this was poor. The burgers were overcooked and very tough and dry, and the tomato soup was was only lukewarm. We complained the following day.

We found the two bed side lamps were hanging off almost. But apart from that everything was fine.

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the staff were incredibly accommodating to me and my partner. The hotel was incredibly clean and quiet and the mattress was to die for! I would have happily paid double or triple for the experience I had.

A nice hotel, rooms were good quality and standard although slightly small for a family of 3 with a double sofa bed.
The staff were excellent, always very polite friendly and helpful from the moment we walked through the door to check in.
The initial room we were allocated was to close to the lifts and stairs so we asked to love to a quieter area, the staff were very accommodating and made the change immediately for us.
The breakfast was nice but I felt sorry for the staff as they were very short staffed and couldn’t keep up with the restocking and cleaning of tables. I also think the breakfast tea could be bigger for the number of guest rooms they have.
Overall nice hotel, very convenient especially for Drayton Manor theme park which was the reason for our trip. I would recommend this hotel because of the staff, rooms and location.

Clean and comfortable with friendly efficient staff. Breakfast was good and even had gluten free cereal and toast which was a bonus

Great hassle free check in. Room was a little smaller than i expected (Smaller than a travel inn) 312 could have done with a little TLC in the bedroom... bathroom was nice and shower really good. Two big issues were the beds... we had what appeared to be a small double bed which was on roller wheels and when you got in and out it would move about 30cm from the wall... our 12 year old had the sofa bed which we had to pull out and it was VERY stiff and when out was sunken heavily in the middle with a very thin mattress... im sure it must have been broken cos it was very saggy and we checked it numerous times. Luckily our son was so tired that he still slept on it.

Good clean confortable hotel doing all hotel basics very well, surprised by the size of the shower in the bathroom. Very pleasant and helpful staff who handle busy times with ease. Great location for a weekend 80’s festival at Tamworth Castle.

The hotel is extremely well situated, close to the town and shopping centre. Very pretty with the lake.
Excellent free parking.
Rooms are spacious, our room could have been a bit cleaner.
The breakfast included in the room price was very good.
We would certainly stay here again.

Our room was quite dirty and the bed and sofa bed very uncomfortable. Having said this breakfast was good and I liked that there was free wifi

The hotel on the whole was great. My oily criticism is the blankets on the bed. The weren't enough to cover us both. They were tucked in at the bottom so weren't covering my shoulders. Quilts would be so much better.
