great location, beautiful hotel, comfortable room and excellent staff
Pros:

location, tradition of this hotel and how they modernized a very traditional, beautiful hotel with a long history by blending the old with the new perfectly well, very efficient, friendly and responsive staff.

Cons:

The heater elements in the room did not work on arrival but 10 minutes after we reported it to reception two engineers arrived in the room and fixed the problem. Excellent response, well done.

Gut aber mit entscheidenden Fehlern - siehe oben.
Pros:

Alles gut organisiert - schönes grosses Zimmer und Balkon.
Hallenbad angenehm sehr gut.

Cons:

Früstück erst ab 8.00Uhr - zu spät um 8.15 fährt die erste Bahn den Berg hinauf.
Schade ist das Beste nicht mehr da: Die Pianobar🥲

Freundliches Personal: sie konnten uns an einem Sonntag einen Ring, der leider in den Abfluss gefallen ist, "retten". Der junge Herr vom Personal hat das super gemacht.

Cons:

Frühstück gab es erst ab 08:00 Uhr (ist zu spät wenn früh auf die Piste möchte)

Historisches Hotel an zentraler Lage.
Pros:

Das Zimmer mit Holzboden war genügend gross und ruhig trotz Lage an der Promenade. Das Personal beim Frühstück ist aufmerksam und es wurde nachgefüllt. Die Speisenauswahl für das Preisniveau etwas hat Luft nach oben. Die Piano Bar war sehr gut. Der antike Lift mit Sitzbank ist sehenswert.

Cons:

Im Zimmer gab es eine Steckdose welche aus der Wand hängt, eine Schraube im Boden die raussteht da der Türstopper fehlt, die Zahnglashalterung ist abgerissen. In der Dekoverkleidung über dem Bett gibt es eine Aussparung für ein Bild aber in diesem Zimmer fehlt dies, sowie andere Sachen welche repariert werden sollten. Bei der Abreise hatten wir dies an der Reception mitgeteilt, es wurde zur Kenntnis genommen aber nichts notiert... Dies wertet das sonst eigentlich schöne Zimmer ab. Die Duschwand in der Badewanne nützt nicht viel, der Boden ist dennoch nass.
Der Orangensaft aus dem Automat und die Brotauswahl beim Frühstück entspricht nicht dem Niveau von einem 4 Sterne Hotel.

Diesmal einzig die Lage

Cons:

Wir werden das Hotel Europe in Zukunft meiden. Wir haben im November 2025 eine Suite reservier und die auch im Voraus bezahlt. Was wir bekommen haben war ein Zimmer mir einem kleinen Bad für eine Person. Im Badezimmer selbst und in der Dusche konnte man sich kaum drehen. Ein Heizkörper im Zimmer wurde nicht warm. Wir haben dies dem alles dem Personal gemeldet und man hat uns versprochen, dass man ich der Angelegenheit annehme und sich Erkenntlich zeige. Das Gegenteil war der Fall man hat sich in Schweigen gehüllt und nichts unternommen. Beim Wiederholten anzeigen, dass der Heizkörper nicht funktioniere hat man uns einen elektrischen Ofen vor die Tür gestellt, dies obwohl wir im Zimmer waren. In eine Junior Suite wie gebucht hat man uns nicht umgesiedelt. Auch hat man versprochen, dass alles versucht werde , um der Buchung gerecht zu werden. Am Abreise Tag war auch die "Erkenntlichkeit" vergessen.
