Prima bedden. Koelkast op de kamer.
Erg gedateerde kamer.
Very clean room and bedding
Restaurant was not good, tried it twice. The food didn't taste fresh. Some of my appetizers tasted like something you'd buy in the frozen section of a grocery store and heat up in your oven. They must use ai to translate for their english version of the menu because it made no sense.
Room service doesn't even offer coffee beverages. I don't want to walk through 3 wings of this maze of a hotel to find a latte in the morning or even just coffee. The knock-off "nespresso" pods looked old, and were unlabeled but in 3 different colors, so I had no idea what was what. i.e. Is it decaf or normal coffee? The "mini fridge" is the smallest I have seen, and more like a small drawer. For the cost of the hotel, you'd think they wouldn't be so stingy with things like late check out (10euro), toothbrush (4euro - and most hotels have things like this for free for guests who forget to bring their own), bathroom toiletries (3 little boxes of single-use wash cloth and tissue, which were empty for me upon arrival and when I notified reception they did not even reply). The room listing says ironing supplies are in the room, but they are not and you have to request it from room service. The room listing also says the rooms are sound proof, and they most definitely are not (I woke up constantly to noise and door slamming either by guests or cleaning crew). The cleaning crew leave their stuff everywhere in the halls while working, which makes it hard to maneuver around. They are also very loud. Not great for longer stays when you're trying to get some rest.
Overall unimpressed and wouldn't stay here again if in Tilburg. For the cost, I was expecting much better, and more complementary items in the bathoom. Not to be charged for every little thing that most hotels that cost less give you for free as a guest. The location is not convenient if you don't have a car.
A very average stay.
Good sized room, nice breakfast. The hotel looks nice from the outside. It's grand with a lot of outdoor space and easy parking. They accept dogs which is nice.
The room was not well maintained (cracks in the wall, some stains on the bathroom tiles and black dirt on the folded towels). Staff was responsive, but not nice. The atmosphere is that you have to take care of yourself and not ask them for help. Even though they saw I was with a toddler.
The hotel is okay, but not worth the amount they are charging. A shame as I like Van der Valk hotels usually.
