The location is great if you are attending a function at Waddesdon Manor, it's just a five minute walk down the road.
The hotel is nice, with a bar, restaurant and plenty of parking, including a couple of EV charging points.
Our room overlooked the back garden and was a bit on the small side and warm in the evening (they provided a fan, which was helpful). Room had tea/coffee tray, a Dyson hairdryer, small wardrobe, window seat, clock radio, iron & board. The power shower was very nice and a night light for the bathroom is a nice touch.
Breakfast is cereal, pastries, porridge and various cooked plates (eggs all ways) with hot and cold drinks. You are asked to fill in a breakfast form for the following morning, giving an indication of time of eating and what you would like.
We ate in the restaurant on Saturday evening. I'd recommend booking as it was busy. Food was nice if a bit pricey.
The garden was lovely, a nice place to have a drink.
All of the staff were helpful and very friendly.
Personally, I'd like blackout curtains.
If you are coming from the car park a more visible sign for the reception would be good as it's not in the main building. Like so many people, we went to the bar as the sign on the door said 'Entrance'.
Lovely atmosphere.
Staff excellent. Worked very hard.
Staffing could be better. More required.
The room was excellent, staff were all really friendly and helpful. Beautiful location. Entry to the Manor house was a good bonus.
The property is a beautiful old building with character.
Location was excellent for Waddesdon Manor
Hotel wasn't very well manned. Finding staff to check in and out was a problem and I had to look around the hotel a couple of times to find someone
Well run hotel.
Comfortable, clean room, plenty of hot water/tea and coffee/ nice toiletries.
Good quality food and excellent service. Small bar area but nice and cosy. Pretty garden with seating. Great location for walking to The Manor. Free entry too with the hotel.
Traffic noise at the front loud but secondary glazing in place to help.
Beautiful Hotel

Lots of character and friendly staff. Weather was awful but it was cosy inside.
No complaints.
The friendly Staff, the food & the location. We will be returning there soon.
The atmosphere, the great staff, food & drinks.
Virkeligt dejligt sted
It was a lovely hotel and the rooms were comfortable and warm. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Would return
The only slight complaint would be it smells a bit off putting when you go in. It smells of cooking fat and not in a good way, and I think if the kitchen got better extraction it would help.
Lovely hotel very comfortable and lovely staff, food was really nice

It’s a very beautiful building. It’s kept very warm and cosy which can’t be easy given its listed status.
Great room and great breakfast.
Staff were really friendly & helpful. The room although small, had everything we needed & was clean & comfortable. The shower room was clean, warm & had lovely fluffy white towels.
Nothing
Reception was friendly and helpful and were then shown to our rooms, (which you don’t always get these days).
Food was exceptional and staff were knowledgeable and well trained.
We had booked a late Sunday lunch as the restaurant was closed from Sunday evening to Tuesday evening. The alcove we were given was cozy and comfortable, adding to the enjoyment of our meal.
Breakfast was available to pre-book at various time slots and was unhurried, with continental breakfast options available too.
Rooms were clean and well appointed but pillows were uncomfortable.
The hotel is situated on the A41 with the resulting constant transit of lorries outside our window very noisy, even through the night.
This is an old building, having the benefit of secondary glazing to protect from drafts etc. but this was missing from the balcony door (room No. 4), making the room quite cold and noisy.
After our late lunch we went to sit in the bar but were told it was now closed and there was no other communal area to relax in.
Location
Clean, nice, cozy
