Was a lovely fairytale stay in a castle

Pros:

De ambiance, hele fijne lobby met verschillende zitjes, mooie kamer en het restaurant was gezellig en het eten lekker

Cons:

Een beetje te dwingende en aanwezige gastheer bij t ontbijt. Hij bedoelde t vast goed, maar wekte veel irritatie bij ons (liet ons niet even rustig zitten, moesten meteen naar t buffet en bleef maar hard praten met iedereen).

Beautiful hotel in an old castle.
Pros:

Gorgeous castle with beautiful exterior and interior. Loved the garden and the goats :). Very friendly staff. Cozy room.

Cons:

The bathroom seemed very old and didn’t really match the luxurious rest of the hotel. It didn’t have any heating either. A bit too pricey for a single room but all in all a beautiful experience.

Aangenaam vlak voor eindejaar en dichtbij horeca.
Pros:

Een goede combinatie van een ouder gebouw met nieuwe aspecten.

Cons:

Onze kamer had een oudere toilet-en-doucheruimte, waarvan het afzuigsysteem te hard stond. Dit resulteerde in lawaai en het wegzuigen van de warme lucht uit de kamer. Opgelost door de deur te sluiten dus geen blokkerend probleem…

Nostalgische omgeving en warme ontvangst.
Pros:

Locatie, parkeren voor de deur, romantische kerstsfeer.

Cons:

Als je van nostalgie houdt, met een stalen bad gerepareerd met emaille, een kleine kamer, een kamer met een sleutel, een ijverige koffieman en een matige prijs kwaliteit verhouding, dan zit je gebakken. Als je een uitstekende accommodatie met een waanzinnig ontbijt wilt, is van der Valk toch mijn keuze.
