Howfield Manor Hotel is perfectly located..close to the heart of Canterbury yet serenely peaceful. The manor feels like a beloved home, and its surroundings are simply picturesque.

Room was clean and comfortable. Extra heater was provided which kept the room toasty warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Canterbury and other parts of Kent such as Whitstable and Herne Bay. Good breakfast.
Chef was ill so the restaurant and bar was closed in the evenings. Didn't get the chance to explore the grounds because the weather was dreadful , but looked nice from the window.
The staff were amazing especially the receptionist. The meals in the restaurant were good. Great for a weekend away lovely gardens.
The beds are not great and the walls are thin.
