Very comfortable room & bed.
Superb meals in the elegant Carrier drawing room.
Slight downside in that we were kept waiting to sign in. Disappointing that mostly the flowers on display were artificial, despite having a cut-flower garden outside.
We had a lovely 2 day stay. Greeted by the delightful Megan on reception who looked after us beautifully. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Our two breakfasts in the glorious dinning hall were exceptional and both Doreen and Sorrel went above and beyond to make it such a special experience. Excellent service and friendliness. Our stay ended with another lovely lady on reception who helped us with our luggage to our car and waved us off. We had a great stay and can highly recommend anyone who wants a lovely tranquil stay and to be thoroughly spoilt in beautiful surroundings to stay at Hintlesham Hall.
Excellent stay. Lovely room. Staff were brilliant. Had a fantastic massage. Food was beautiful. Only issue was wifi is not great in my room.
I have rated Hintlesham 4 stars as the Hotel itself is stunning and the staff were very friendly and helpful but in my opinion the food really lets the place down. The restaurant itself is lovely, set in a beautiful room within the Hall and the menu read well but was hugely over priced and of a poor standard breakfast was a bit better but my eggs were cold which wasn’t great. So if I was rating the hotel and staff I would give 5 star rating but I would give the food a generous 2!
We had a lovely stay for a couple of nights in a beautiful house. The car charger was very handy
Lovely hotel. Food in restaurant was excellent! Hope to go back
Everything about Hintlesham Hall was superb.
It was great experience. The staff members are really nice and kind. There is so much history there.
The facilities are great. Staff are friendly and proactive in helping. Its a great base for local exploration. The breakfast was exceptional.
An awesome stay. Very comfortable and great sized room with a patio
Past it sell by date and in need of real attention. Plus poor bar service due to lack of staff. Frankly over priced which is such a pity. Tissue box by bed contained one folded tissue yes just the one!
Our room and the hotel were very good and comfortable.
The food menus and descriptions were excellent but the food was very poor and didn’t come up to expectations from the menu, or the price- very disappointing.
One of the best hotels I stayed.
An amazing old building, very British hotel, with very friendly staff, if I'm honest, it was all a bit stuffy for me, but if you like that kind of thing, you will like it!
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, situated in a remarkably quiet area, just a 30-minute drive from the historic town of Melford.
Our Large Principal Double, featuring exposed old beams and a dome-like ceiling, was tastefully decorated and had a generous, very comfortable bed. The service was both professional and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and beautifully presented dinner and breakfast.
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty and charm of this hotel. Every detail feels exquisite, like stepping back in time in the most luxurious way. The service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly thoughtful.
The food was exceptional, with high-quality ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes. Our room was peaceful and quiet, the bed incredibly comfortable, and breakfast each morning was a real treat—absolutely delicious.
One of our favourite spots was the library, where we enjoyed playing games together in such a cosy atmosphere. We noticed they even light a fire there in the winter, which must be magical. We also took a romantic walk around the grounds, which were stunning and serene.
Honestly, we couldn’t fault a single thing. Every part of our stay was perfect. We can’t wait to come back.
Beautiful hotel
Excellent hotel
Customer service first class without exception. Property was grade 1 listed and was very comfortable, with lovely facilties including access to spa. Special mention to Doreen, Grace and Olivia who served us breakfast and evening meals. They were very friendly. Professional and helpful.
Excellent stay..friendly welcome & most professional service. Lovely 'Large Superior" room and a quality but somewhat pricey dinner. Log fires in the lounges and surrounded by beautiful & historic art and furniture. Would highly recommend fot a short Winter break.
