Overall, my stay at Barrington Lodge was comfortable and relaxing, and peaceful.
Pros:

I recently stayed at Barrington Lodge for 4 nights and had a really pleasant experience overall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, especially the manager who was exceptionally helpful and kind. The location is decent, with a pub conveniently located next door, and the area is very quiet and peaceful perfect for a relaxing evening walk.

Cons:

The only downside for me was that there wasn’t really any outdoor space to sit and relax, such as a bench or small seating area outside the property. Other than that, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay

Good location but poorly maintained hotel
Pros:

The lodge is in a good location. Walkable in the day time from the local train station.

Cons:

There was a poor standard of maintenance and cleaning. Lots of items in the hotel were broken. The sink did not have hot water and the room was very cramped. You just get the impression that the hotel was run on a very tight budget and there are no places to get food within walking distance.
In hindsight, I should've stayed in a local Premier Inn.
