A comfortable room but antisocial guests.
Pros:

The man at reception was very helpful when we arrived. Parking was very easy, especially for such a busy area. Our room was comfortable and it was handy to have a fridge. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Cons:

Other guests arrived back very loudly at 1am and sat out on the smoking balcony outside of our room and shouted at each other. We tried to call reception on the room phone, we did not feel safe confronting the other guests as they were talking about the drugs and alcohol they had consumed. No one answered at reception so we just had to wait for them to go to bed. A terrible night sleep.

Value for money - off street parking & close to public transport. Variety of pubs and cafes close by
Pros:

The room was clean and spacious. The en suite was tiny but adequate. Room was quiet. Value for money. Close to public transport and shops but the area was very run down - lots of graffiti and closed shops. Off street parking. Water pressure was quite good

Cons:

Clean but the room was tired - could have done with a coat of paint. The bed was a bit too firm for our liking and the towels and pillows were thin.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Brunswick Tower Hotel.
Pros:

Decent sized fridge, large bathroom, well working air conditioning which was a relief in the 42 degree heat. Staff friendly

Die to the Australian Open not many hotels were available for a reasonable price.
