Beatiiful setting. Ideal for breaking journey between Kruger Park and Johannesburg.

We often stay here, loved the bigger room & not being close to the busier areas

Pleasant, but will book a bigger cottage next time.

Property is very well maintained, gardens is beautiful.

Critchley Hackle is but a shadow of its previous state, in desparate need of TLC
Pros:

Staff were very friendly. Location is conveniently close to town

Cons:

The lodge and facilities are old and tired and in serious need of attention.
Fishing was not good as some guests did not use fly fishing tacle but spinning reels. This had a very negative impact on the whole experience

Great place for a quick breakaway!
Pros:

Easy, friendly check in. Beautiful, comfortable room with a huge bed, bath, shower and fireplace. Very quiet and private. Lovely view of the lake and ducks etc. Everything in the room exactly what we needed for our stay.

Cons:

We had a bit of trouble with the TV channels, not many available and some got stuck.
No wi-fi (not a deal breaker 😊), (I am aware that unit is advertised without wi-fi)

The location and facility is superb and will recommend it to anybody that is interested to stay in Dullstroom. The rooms are very neat, modern, welcoming and a pleasure to stay in.

Always a great place to stay.
Pros:

Awesome location. Reception staff is super friendly. Fireplace always a winner! Great room facilities. Beautiful view. Convenient parking. Good value for money.

Cons:

Breakfast served only from 8am, but a that time the are was still being cleaned. The gardens need some TLC.
Overall, Critchley Hackle Lodge is always a solid place to stay.

Cosy stay in Dullstroom
Pros:

Nice location, comfortable room, fireplace and wood in room a bonus! View over dam with ducks very nice.

Good location, neat and cozy.
Pros:

The room was neat and cozy. The bed was comfortable, kitchenette and bathroom were sufficient. Good location, just a short walk to shops. Restaurant on site had great food!

Cons:

Towel rails in the bathroom would be an added plus, there is nowhere to hang up towels after use.

Very comfortable stay! Would return very soon.
Pros:

Love the location and staff were very friendly. The weather (predicted snow) was very bad but the room was toasty and perfect for these conditions.

Cons:

The toilet seat is broken and chipped and hurt the user.
