There was no hot not even warm water.

The rug needs to have a good clean and the chair at the desk was very shaky.

Room carpet a little bit dirty. Only had two bath towels and face cloths in the bathroom. Otherwise everything was good.

The outside looks nice and the lobby was ok. Rooms are very dated, carpets are dirty, tub water drains very slow(was standing in ankle deep water before I finished showering room 418), were some kind of moth flying around the room. Went to breakfast at 6:45 had to wait in the lobby as breakfast didn’t start until 7 and there was a bug crawling on the carpet. Went into breakfast and was the first one in there the table I sat at was sticky and another guest came in to eat and had no shoes or socks on (just gross). Not a place I would stay again.

The room and hallways had hints of smoke. Since it was a non smoking room that was not good. The rugs in the room were dirty as they had dirty spots on places. The bathroom was odd as the door opened into the toilet area(about 2 inches from the seat). The toilet was extremely low. The couch was well worn and needs replacement. It was unusable.

Not a very clean room. The floor in our first floor room had multiple stains.

One of the TVs did not work well

The lighting in the room was inadequate. We love to read in the evenings and found the floor lamp had low wattage bulbs.

Management and higher ups need a serious overhaul, as do the rooms in this hotel. We were in town for a wedding and had a number of extended family with us. Not one of us - in multiple different rooms - had a good experience. We booked months in advance. There is not room here to list everything those in our party encountered. Filthy carpets in the rooms with holes and multiple stains (wear and tear is acceptable/filfth is not), piles of dust stuck to walls near the vents, cockroaches (multiple, not just one, crawling over suitcases, scampering across the floor), room keys that never worked, horrible odors (old marijuana smell in one of our rooms), filthy yellow sheets on the pull out beds still with trash on them from some previous occupants. We paid more for a suite because we had planned to put our grandchildren on the pull out bed but never used it because not only was it filthy, it was also broken. THe hotel was full because of a tournament, so there was no availablity to change rooms. Even in the rooms with fewer issues, we had to ask for towels and toilet paper (is it too much to expect those to be present when one checks into a hotel room?). Because we had already paid, they would not issue any refunds. When trying to resolve issues with the front desk one would be told only a manager could take care of it, but then they admitted all the managers were unavailable and could not be contacted. This was a lovely hotel the last time we visited, but clearly the management no longer cares and has not sought to maintain that same level of quality. There are many other choices along this same road in Fredericksburg. We have stayed at some of those as well. Even the budget ones that were less than desireable were a better experience than this. In my opinion this particular location is surviving on its past reputation and the quality usually associated with the name, "Country Inn and Suites". But do not be fooled.

They only had one elevator working. It wasn't much of an inconvenience, but a few impatient people made comments.
